"You might be surprised who Rivera picks as the top team leaders"

makes sense:

Offense

1. Ryan Kalil (turned 30 last month, 9th yr as Panther)

2. Greg Olsen (turned 30 last month, 5th yr as Panther)

3. Cam Newton (turns 26 in May, 5th yr as Panther)

Defense

1. Thomas Davis (turned 32 last month, 10th yr as Panther)

2. Charles Johnson (turns 29 in July, 9th yr as Panther)

3. Luke Kuechly (turned 24 today, 4th yr as Panther)

from the NFL owner's meeting a few weeks ago:

"It really does start with Kalil and Thomas, Rivera said

"Last year, through our entire set of circumstances we went through

the whole year on the offensive side..it was Kalil," Rivera said. "On the defensive side it was Thomas."

Next Rivera mentioned defensive end Charles Johnson and tight end Greg Olsen. Then he brought up Newton and Kuechly, pointing out that the elder leaders "really mentored Cam and Luke."

I don't get why Newton would write that headline. Stir things up probably. It's not like he's disrespecting Cam or Luke by saying those guys first. They've been in the league much longer and are older with more experience. What's crazy that I realized recently is Cam is younger than Russell Wilson. Damn does that make me happy. And Luke only 24? Oh boy. Good things ahead boys.

    • Don't have to be miss cleo. His weakness are length, athleticism, creating his own shot, defense, finishing at the rim,  Strengths - shooting and IQ.   Likely won't work as non athletic shooters don't typically work.

    • I live in Indiana and took a trip that weekend to watch my two friend's teams play (Chiefs and Vikings) IN Minnesota when they were playing at a college field, I think TCF? Anyways, our plan was to watch the game (noon game) then do some shopping at the Mall of America, I wasn't planning on watching the Panthers play Seattle since I was out sight seeing and walking around after the noon game had ended. By the time we were walking back into the Mall the Panthers were down by 2 scores in the 4th or going into the 4th and we were all thirsty from walking around for 2.5 hours after the Vikings game so we decided to postpone shopping until after we ate. We found this nice little sports bar inside the mall that had the game on. Man, I'm so glad we skipped shopping because that was probably the most excited I've been in some time for a win. Beating Seattle in 2015 felt like the "monkey off the back" sort of feeling and I knew we had finally arrived as a team. The entire bar erupted when Cam hit Olsen for that walk off TD. Literally one of the greatest moments of my life. My friend wasn't so happy though lol, by the time the Panthers game ended ALL of the stores inside the mall had closed and he wasn't able to get any souvenirs. It was his first time watching a Vikings game live and making a trip like that so he was legit upset lol. I on the other hand couldn't have been happier.
