Trade Rumor: Bruce Irvin to the Falcons

Irvin actually played traditional SAM for Seattle then on 3rd downs Michael Bennett would kick inside, Irvin would go to DE and they sub out a DT for a CB. He could work as the LEO but Quinn may want to use him in the role he is most familiar with.

 

They've brought in Schofield and Reed to play that. The only pass rusher they've brought in is Clayborn, and he's more of a DE than LEO in that scheme.

Trade their #8 pick and the Seahawks trade up and grab Cooper.

 

this would make me a little hard in the groin area to be honest.

 

Bruce has moments of greatness but they are surrounded with a whole lot of mediocrity

 

Seattle's offense could really use a Cooper too.

IIRC, he's from GA, AND he was one of the most outspoken players following Carroll's horrible call that lost them the SB.

Seattle can't pay him long term, makes sense for them.

 

Trade him while he has value, and try to get a young, cheap player for a team that will have salary cap issues in a couple years.

One of those rumors that almost makes too much sense for it to actually happen.  Would be a good move for both teams.
