If you are going to get something for your first, get one that goes with everything.

Something like this is in your budget, will last, and can go with anything from board shorts to a suit.  I would go blue, black, or even "silver" face over anything like white or orange or whatever the hell some places are selling these days.

I buy nice vintage watches (steve mcqueen 5512) and have seen several of them go up in value. I have purchased some very nice pieces to commemorate certain times/personal achievements in my life. While i can never justify the cost of the watches they serve a sentimental value with me

In sales, and told myself that if I hit a certain number that year, I would buy myself a Breitling that I had been eyeing.  Hit the damn number between Christmas and New Years.
