FIFA raided by Feds, multiple arrests, prob opened into Qatar and Russia World Cups

Wonder what the IOC is thinking?

That's the thing... Should be very interesting.

FIFA was considered to be too big to get in trouble and they acted very cocky.  Both Russia and Qatar spent billions of $$$ for new stadiums.  It will be an economic disaster for these countries if they move World Cup somewhere else.

Cant see either losing their bid.

I see Qatar losing it...  They moved World Cup to winter time... Right in the middle of regular season.  It causes massive issues for domestic schedule and cable companies who paid billions of dollars to show these games.

I love this. All these isolated crooks that have put themselves above everyone else for the past 2 decades are in handcuffs. At the same time the reaction around the world is incredibly interesting to me.

There was a time when American action was viewed as leadership. Now you are seeing people speak out against the Americans for interfering with World Football, a Sport they consider Americans to be a spectator in. There is an attitude of "let us clean up our own house, stay out of it". Which is a farce because we play Football too and the house has been a mess for 20 years.

Then you have those that think the Americans are overzealous to arrest folks in Switzerland. Some are calling us a bigger threat to freedom than the Russians. It's all rhetoric from anti-Americans that are tired of us doing as we wish in International Politics.

But shouldn't we all be proud of this? The bad guys are in police custody. This is the justice system working. Everybody knows FIFA has been exploiting their control over the biggest sport in the world. A not for profit organization with over 1.5 billion in cash reserves.

This is one of those times where people around the world should once again recognize the USA for being a leader. This is what we do, kick ass when others are afraid to.

They also need to look into the labor practices they are apparently using to build the stadiums in Qatar. Hundreds of people have reportedly died there since they started. It's probably more important to hold FIFA accountable for the revenue the US missed out on first though.

    • Trading for a 29 year old safety that the Dolphins just went out of their way to sign earlier this year when the team has needs across the rostet including the most important position on the field is malpractice. And if you don't want to discuss it then don't quote people.
    • NFL insider Jordan Schultz reports the Dolphins are open to trading S Minkah Fitzpatrick. Fitzpatrick was acquired earlier in the offseason in the trade that sent Jonnu Smith and Jalen Ramsey to Pittsburgh. According to Schultz, the Dolphins have received “interest from multiple teams” for Fitzpatrick, who is under contract through 2026. Fitzpatrick has appeared in all nine games for the Dolphins this season, totaling 50 tackles, five pass breakups, and one interception, while also recovering one fumble. Fitzpatrick, 28, has been named as a Pro Bowler for each of the last three years and would immediately improve whatever secondary he lands with
