Coaches Time Out

I'm not sure if any of you guys are coaches and have attended this event but I would strongly suggest it next year if not. It was a awesome event and had many former and current NFL guest speakers. This year was John Kasay, J.J. Janson, Eugene Robinson( dude is super passionate ), John Kitna and his wife, and also Josh McCown.

Also all these guys except for Kitna live in the Charlotte area. McCown was even so nice as to put us up at the Ballantyne hotel where the conference was free of charge because it was our first year.

Yes, I believe there are several coaches and quite a few GMs on the Huddle at any given time.

Quotas or some bs like that.

Lots of GMs, possibly 50-100.  Which is incredible since there are only 32 positions that are available in the world.

    • No one way to do it, it does appear that with the bigger draft picks of the last 5 years…..majority haven’t steered clear of young QBs on the roster being their hopeful guy. Especially past their rookie seasons but even some the biggest ones have had it early.   As far as Andy Dalton, the two young guys he has “mentored”…..have had very rough NFL starts.  Which really ask the why the heck is Dalton here.   He doesn’t really check any box.  No young potential.  Can’t step in and win.  And his mentor track record with Fields and now Bryce is bad
    • I had thought the Panthers might let him play out his contract this year and hope he stays healthy. If not draft a left tackle and move Ekwonu to right tackle.
    • Frankly, if most teams in the NFL lose their starting QB for a significant amount of time, they're screwed. The fantasy is that one has a future Tony Romo or a Nick Foles that can carry a stacked team. The reality is that you might get roughly 3~5 games out of your backup before it all falls apart. Remember all of Peyton Manning's backups? Utterly terrible. Speaking of backup QB's, Raiders may need one. https://www.nfl.com/news/raiders-qb-aidan-o-connell-suffered-fractured-wrist-in-preseason-finale-expected-to-be-out-6-8-weeks
