Panthers' 2015 Fantasy sleepers

I play fantasy football with friends internet buds across the country and it's great having a leg up on Carolina's talent. WR1 numbers from KB were a given in my mind and I won my league in large part last season due to "reaching" for him in the 4th round. Who do you think are the team's sleepers next season?

I don't see him going in the first round in many leagues but I can say with confidence that healthy Jstew is a top 10 back. My heart says top 5. My only reservation is that he has to be handcuffed and I don't know whether Fozzy or CAP are the better move there.

I think it's also safe to say that KB is the only receiver that will be on anyone's radar so someone is gonna outperform their projections between Funch, Brown, and Ginn. Brown could very well go undrafted in a league without Panther fans, Ginn might have a big year reuniting with Cam, and Funch is a true wildcard with a ceiling as high as KB's depending on how things turn out.

If by "sleeper" you are referring to someone that is going very late in drafts but has the potential to be a fantasy starter, I don't think there really are any on the Panthers roster this year going by current ADP and pundit rankings. I don't think KB, Funchess, and Olsen can all be fantasy-relevant most weeks in our offense, so I can't really peg Funchess as a true sleeper candidate. That implies that I don't think Ginn or Brown will become guys that I would consider starting every week. I think KB and Olsen seem to be going where they should be in terms of ADP and rankings. I have KB as my #12 receiver so I'm a little higher on him than most.

All that being said, is Funchess potentially being under-drafted without being a "sleeper," meaning he should be drafted higher but doesn't necessarily have starter potential? Maybe.

I don't see Stew as a top 12 back. I have him ranked 16th for a PPR league that consumes way too much of my time. And I often think that's too generous. Some other guys will probably rise above him before the start of the season for me. I wouldn't peg his handcuffs as sleepers either. Just your average RB handcuffs.

    • *EVERY* NFL game is aired on a local broadcast channel in each participating team's market - even if the primary national coverage is on a paid channel (ESPN, Netflix, Amazon, Peacock) For those outside the primary Charlotte or Tampa viewing areas, then ESPN may (or may not) be your only option (check local listings to confirm).   Example: Atlanta ABC is airing the game, even though it's outside those local viewing areas
    • Necas didn't want to be here... What did you want them to do with Mikko... Let him walk for free and ruin half a season???
    • Whole point of bringing in Miller was to pair him with Slavin to cover up his defense... Injuries haven't allowed that to happen.  Which has a trickle down effect on the other pairings So what should be  Slavin/Miller Walker/Chatfield  Nikishin/Ghost   Has been Walker/Miller Nikishin/Chatfield  Some fresh bodies from the AHL   On top of that goalie play has been mostly a miss with Freddie in net and the defense in front of the goalies has been mostly trash. We probably won't get the answer to the Miller Slavin question this season (if the pairing can work at all)  Only thing can hope for is the defense to get and stay healthy and for the front office to go find a goalie and another center.
