We used to Be the Jags...

Show up every sunday ... to compete with other teams with GMs... obsessed with salary cap management and fielding nothing but A+++ talent. Make a couple of plays and get excited that if we did this or.. that we could have won that game.

You could see the look on Bradley their coach..  coach every time they made an interception or some wide receiver (Who got laid out by Benwikire) would get a completion.

This is the day we take an Overated Carolina team and embarrass Cam Newton and his Million dollar smile... and go 1 - 0.

You have to hit on your draft pics.

You have to let that cancer of sticking your team with nothing but veterans who do nothing but steal time away from youth.

You have to be strict with your Cap management... this is not FIFA or baseball - you make a mistake and you pay for it... or you get lucky.. Gettlemagic style.

You need an excellent quarterback... a tough SOB in this new NFL where 500 pound rhinos can run a 40.. in 4.3 ... coming after your harvard educated ass...

You need a rough tough rugged Offensive line.. that can just GRIND IT OUT.

Don't expect 2008 esque runs of 40 - 50 yards (That was insane btw ) but grind it out 5 here - 3 there and make sure your receivers GRAB THOSE DAMN BALLS...

You need a second and third team that Balls out during the preseason... they compete for 60 minutes.. ( Remember when Steelers backups would be feasting on carolinas playoff team)

In #Gettlemagic we trust.

Comparatively speaking, the Panthers and Jags are more alike to one another than any other team in the NFL. I laugh when I see jokes about the Jags because they're basically our twin brother historically with the Panthers having slightly more success. Sure it appears we have a brighter future but it just shows the power of the homer goggles and naivety of Panther fans.

Must suck being the ugly twin...

    • Reasonable. I mean I didn’t see a clear path to relief this season myself. As I have typed already, I think the QB FA class is more interesting next season and that draft is supposed to be stacked as well. There just weren’t many options this year.  When you have Tepper to contend with you have to tread lightly around this unless you are 100% certain and willIng to stake your job on it.   There were a couple of outings that helped Bryce a lot in terms of  thinking maybe he can do this, and if you are a supporter you are giving them a lot of weight. You are likely to think just get him some more help and he can do that every week. Which I think Tepper falls into that category.  And the playoffs, division champs, regardless of the way I see that, the supporters will also give that a lot of weight.    And the big one, the atmosphere In BOA for that WC game, Tepper had to be soiling himself over that. If you pulled Bryce out right now you had better be right and your new guy had better make the playoffs and look good doing it or you will be gone and your chance to build your old team back into respectability will be gone too.  So here we have Pickett on a one year deal, and Grier and King. I understand it.
    • Well, seeing as we play the Lions at home this year, pretty sure that rumor isn't true.
