Run blocking rank: 6th

Penalties rank: T-6th

Stud: There isn’t a better center in the league right now than Ryan Kalil (93.9).

Dud: It’s somewhat ironic that the only first-round pick on the line is it’s weakest link. That’s Michael Oher (70.8), by the way.

Summary: Un-drafted free agents and cast-offs from other teams: generally speaking, that’s a formula for a terrible line, but the work of the personnel department in finding the right guys, and coaching staff in getting them ready, gives the Panthers a premier power blocking unit that just so happens to be pretty handy in pass protection.

Guess those first 14 games of 100+ yards rushing were meaningless. They said we were good at pass-blocking but sucked at run-blocking.

4 games later, we're at 18 straight 100+ yards rushing and now all of a sudden we are quote: "a premier power blocking unit that just so happens to be pretty handy in pass protection"

Before the season started most of us were of the mind that even a middle-of-the-road offensive line would give us a shot to be successful. These guys have performed, and deserve some credit. The scary thing is that like the team as a whole, this individual unit can be much better. Matsko, you're a master. And again, Gettleman and the player personnel folks deserve a tip of the cap for finding guys like Turner, Norwell, and Remmers.
