Greg Hardy refuses to sign Panther helmet, gives fan $100 bill

"Greg Hardy held a signing at a local sports bar in Dallas, and while we presume most of the event went according to plan, one piece of memorabilia just wasn’t going to receive a signature.

Hardy was presented a mini Carolina Panthers helmet to sign, the team that drafted him and that he was with when his domestic violence investigation began. They didn’t want him back afterward.

Greg Hardy, apparently still holding a grudge against the team, declined signing the helmet before doing this:

 

When asked by the Dallas Morning News about giving the fan $100, Hardy said, “That’s for the fans, man. You got to show love.”

Initially, Jeremy Smith, the Cowboys fan attempting to get the Carolina helmet signed, was a little put off. “I was a little irritated because I spent $37 on the mini helmet,” Smith said. “But he offset it by throwing down the $100 bill. I was a little surprised. It made me feel better.”

“Kraken” is Greg Hardy’s nickname."
