What is the deal with everyone trashing Jake? And by everyone I mean writers who know very little about our QB's fire and passion. It absolutely amazes me that everytime I read an article about todays game they talk about Philly for 3/4's of the story and then end it quick by saying how bad Jake was in the Arizona game. Some even went as far as to say he "scares them".

I just want to point out that even though Jake had a bad game he isn't the kind of person to dwell on things like that and I think he will be fine this year and silence all the critics. I really hope he does it today but I think we could see a big running game and Jake with about 225 yards or less. On a final note Tony Romo commits turnovers all the time and has really bad games but he is still considered one of the better QB's in the league? I know its the Cowboys but come on.

I guess it goes to show you that some of these guys have no clue what they are talking about and because they haven't played a game yet all they can reference is the last one. I hope Jake gives them something good to talk about today!!!

I think a lot of writers and sports analysts are actually split on Jake. Some say he's a good quarterback and some say he isn't. Jake has always been a good quarterback for most games of a season, but he always has at least 4 games where you just wonder how he is a starter. I think the case is the same with Romo. A lot of sports writers don't think Romo is anything special, but others think he's great.

Well jake really isnt that good. To me he is gonna have to get us very far in to the Playoffs in order to erase the nightmare againest Arizona! I really wish we could've seen Matt Moore with the starters in the Preseason. I really like the guy. He could be our future(made mid season is our future) Quarter back......

If this season goes bad then Jake and all of the coaching staff needs to go. And please draft a quarterback if we end up witha top 15 pick!

jake delhomme is not a paper quarterback. he doesn't sell tickets.

but he stokes fires in his teammates' guts when the game is on and that is EXACTLY what a good leader does. that's what we need, not a jay cutler.

well we dont need a guy to sell tix and we dont need a guy to fire up teammates(they already should be fired up for a game!)....we need a guy to win games, and I dont know if Jake can do that!

But hey, i hope I'm wrong!

I live near Tampa. I'm familiar with terrible QBs. Luke McCown, Bruce Gradkowski, Tim Rattay, Chris Simms (post surgery), etc. are all examples of bad QBs. Think John Kitna, not Jake Delhomme.

Panthers fans get so worked up about having a QB who has lead his team to the superbowl once and playoffs multiple times, but might have a bad game here and there. He's not a perfect QB but he's our guy and we're lucky to have him considering some of the alternatives.

    • I would write “give remmers tight end help” on a yellow sticky note and stuck it in shulas playbook the night before superbowl 50.
    • And don’t worry about Bryce he will be great… Peyton Manning had a horrible rookie year too 😂
    • Nothing wrong with it at all until you start telling others they are bad fans or not fans. But you are the good fan because you never say negative stuff about the team.    I did many years of that type of uninformed fanning because there really was no info and coverage like there is with the internet.    I mean, I used to go to the store and get Street and Smith’s annual football issue. That was about the extent of what you could get if you didn’t live in a big city with sportswriters covering and reporting.  There was no video to look at or replay the games and if you didn’t live in the market you could only rarely see your football team play.    TI have fanned since being a kid in the early 1960s, and as late as 1995 - ‘97 I lived in Atlanta and good luck getting more than 3 or 4 games a year on TV. No radio either. No print coverage outside of an AP recap and box unless they played Atlanta.  People today that have always had the network connection don’t know.    I wasn’t very educated about the Panthers until I finally got internet.
