If we win the Superbowl this year

I don't think we're gonna win the Super Bowl. I really want to, of course. I only say that so I don't jinx us. But also, Arizona is so damn talented. They have three great receivers and we have Ted Ginn. So yeah, I'm worried.

If the Panthers get to the NFC Championship, I'm not going to feel bad about this season. Cam took a HUGE step forward this year. And he's only 26 years old? There's not a QB I'd rather have for the next five years than Cam. Get KB back healthy and some more offensive depth in general, and we'll be contenders for a while. Only injury could stop us.

The goal's for any season are always:

1.  Win division

2.  Secure home playoff game

3.  Secure top seed

4.  Win Super Bowl.

Going undefeated during the regular season would be nice but in the end it would just be decoration.  It would be nice to make history like that though, that's for sure.  Next year looks to be a tougher road but we'll have the same goals.

Yet if you win every game you automatically accomplish all those other things.  Why not make it simple and have one goal of going undefeated?  Of course I know it's every team's goal to do the things you listed, but its silly when you think about it.  I would like to see Rivera come out and state the goal to his players is to simply win every game you play, and to the media state our focus is to go undefeated.

we need a pass rush . charles johnson has been so bad this season , allen cant get to the qb . imo delaire and addison looked the best . we need to have josh norman shade the best wr no matter where he goes . we have to defend these quick passes and slants and runs up the middle . were way better than the way we have played yesterday

Going 14-0 in this day and age may be a once in a generation accomplishment in the NFL for any given team. It is not the goal for any team..........You don't get paid for doing that.

Its bad enough to try to capture a SB trophy and that should be the goal........and it starts by getting in the playoffs.

Anything else has the potential of being a distraction.......

I just think psychologically it's not good to have unrealistic goals.  Why have a goal that is going to be crossed out, most likely early, every single year?

    • Damn back to 10th. I only caught the last 5 minutes but some of those 3's were horrible lol. In that close of game you can't be launching those many hail mary's when you could be chipping away from the foul line. I guess no one wanted to get in the paint and didn't trust the refs to give them the calls maybe? Gonna watch the highlights to get a better idea of the flow of the game
    • I agree.  The Big 12 is a good conference, and he is the swinging dick in that conference.  If Bill Self retires, that sets Kansas back a bit, and Arizona moves even further ahead as the best team in that conference.  Arizona can crush west coast recruiting with USC / UCLA no longer being relevant for LA kids, and Gonzaga not being able to compete moneywise.   If Lloyd comes here, he will be second fiddle to Duke every single year in NIL and recruits.  Not to mention the entire SEC and Big East for kids who want to stay in those regions to play. This is why I keep saying go get Mark Few.  Has proven he can do more with less from an X / O perspective but can also recruit All American players and compete at a high level. He's a god at Gonzaga, but for $9M he'd make the move as that's 4x what he's making at Gonzaga, and makes him the highest paid coach in the country.
    • Certainly not going to miss his constant whiffs on sacks and tackles.
