I can't decide if Leodis McKelvin is just an idiot or if he was actually coached to do that. Perhaps he wasn't coached at all on this situation.

Regardless, it comes across as arguably the dumbest move of the entire opening weekend.

If Dick Jauron is fired tomorrow, I won't be shocked.

As it was, he handed the game to the Pats on a silver platter.

McKelvin said if he had to do it again, he would. Bottom line his comments have painted him as a selfish player that is more worried about his own stats, vs what is good for the team. Bottom line the hands team was in, you don't return the ball esp after you have fumbled already.

As for as getting Jauron fired, you dont' know Ralph wilson. He signed Jauron to a 3 year extention and doesn't believe in eating contracts.

I thought it was a good move to return the Kickoff and burn off the couple seconds to the two minute warning. He should have just went down when tacklers got close but it was smart to play to the two minute warning. The Patriots still had three timeouts. If he would have knelt the ball, the Patriots would have 4 timeouts.
