2015 Cam has been the best thing to happen to the NFL in recent years.

I was just thinking about how much as a Panther fan I have enjoyed this season, but I also came to a conclusion. Cam has brought new life to the NFL. Cam has become the player that every one loves/hates, there is no middle ground.

The fact that Cam is making football look fun again will gain a lot of new fans, people will turn on their Tv's in two weeks not only to watch Manning, but to cheer or boo Cam. Cam has become a star that gives ratings, and a role model for kids. Does anyone else agree?

He is definitely polarizing like vick was a decade.  Of course, the difference is he is way better and his team is better.

Most people i know that are fans of other teams do not like him at all but i think they would admit we are fun to watch right now.

However, if he takes the beating that brady took from denvers defense, a lot of people would love it.  Our o line needs to not allow that and i dont think they will.

Actually, I hope the narrative stays on Cam. Heck, I hope the Broncos are focusing all of their attention on him, too. Cam is great and possibly among the best to ever play the game, but the rest of the team is pretty darned good, too. When people forget that, they end up headed home, losing by 30 points or so...

He will host SNL. I know thats not as big a deal as it used to be, but a lot of people still watch and wait. If the right sketches can be written, like with Peyton, once he hosted he exploded media wise. The same thing can happen with Cam if done right.

Also remake Hooper with Cam in the Terry Bradshaw role.

I really feel like this team has become special, they are exactly what people expects when you turn on the Tv to watch a football game, they are good at playing and they seem to have so much fun doing it. I have had so many people say they love the team's attitude and that you can tell they care about each other. Living in Texas where is Cowboys this, Cowboys that is a huge compliment.

    • I originally hated the Miller deal but with the cap projected to rise nearly $10M next season the Canes struck some pretty good deals between Miller and Ehlers. Most of the team is locked in for the next few years. Nikishin will need an extension probably in the $6M AAV range. And Blake will need one if we don’t move him. Personally I’d move Blake, picks, and any prospect not named Nikishin/Nadeau/Artamonov for McTavish as I don’t see any any of the big time players moving teams next year. Realistically the Hurricanes should just target Gustavsson next year to fix the goal tending issue. But I’m all for moving Blake, picks, and prospects for McTavish this year. Ehlers - Aho - Jarvis Svechnikov - McTavish - Stankoven Martinook - Staal - Carrier Hall - Kotkaniemi - Robinson Jost - Jankowski Slavin - Miller Nikishin - Chatfield Gostisbehere - Walker Reilly Andersen Kochetkov I’d do Blake, Felix-Unger-Sorum, and 27 2nd for McTavish.
    • Very true on the length but stuff like this is never where we shine. We aren’t a good team at drafting.
    • Homerism aside, the more I see from Dan, the more impressed I am.  His player evaluation instincts. Last year his 2 premier FA signings, Hunt and Lewis COMPLETELY changed the line and I have a feeling his success in choosing blue chip guys will continue.  Look at the panthers’s rep for FA signings in the past. By and large, it’s been guys 1 year past their prime who had an injury and suckered our GM in to a crippling contract. We never get nice things. When was the last time this team signed 2 young blue chip studs  in the same offseason to contracts worthy of their impact? Ever?  Im telling y’all, players respect and trust Morgan.
