you know what i just realized is the problem here?

participation trophies.

I bet Cam's participation trophies (if only hypothetically) would be found in the first trash bin he could find outside the stadium.

Dude is the most competitive person I've ever seen.

we aren't removed enough from our european heritage that teaches us to "keep a stiff upper lip" and act like nothing phases us, good or bad. it teaches us that emotion is bad and showing it is doubly bad, esp. if it's negative emotion. emotion makes you weak and/or immature and showing it makes you look it.

Depends on which part of Europe.

Us Irish are well known for our bad tempers and bad attitudes. :P

Oh... and drinking and making both of the above even worse, lol.

Ohmigod!  I just realized... was that racist?

My sincere apologies to the tender feelings of my fellow Irish-Americans.

(P.S. What I said was true. :P )

A lot of people hate him, but Darin Gantt is pretty cool too. some people just can't appreciate his snarky sense of humor. Newton is cool too and tweeted about the Panthers long before he was officially covering them.

The guy who I would LOVE to have assigned to the Panthers beat by ESPN is Marty Smith.

I just don't understand after an amazing year and being heavily favorites, the Panthers just lost the SB and you'll still harping on this. Move on. How about write about the amazing moments, the good times of the season you remember. Someone correct me, I don't see those articles any where.

I don't think you understand.

To journalists, the most important people in the world are JOURNALISTS.

For one of the least respected professions (I think they come in below prostitutes and somewhere close to politicians), they sure have a very, very high opinion of themselves.

and yet still above lawyers.... come to think of it, are there any professions that have less respect than lawyers?

Because there will become a time where the immature bullsh!t has to stop. You have to treat other people around you with some kind of maturity and respect.

I say do unto the media with the same level of maturity and respect as they do unto you.

Do you think that is unfair?

Do you feel the media has been fair to Cam Newton since November 2010?

And, like I explained to you before, telling someone to "man up" is not akin to questioning their overall status as a man. Only the ignorant have such tunnel vision.

Would really like Voth to explain in a piece on his site the times that HE has "manned up" in his life.

Stayed up all night finishing a huge journalism school project?

Stood in line in 15 degree weather to get Brown's tickets?

Drank the water from the Cuyahoga River?

I bet he could sure show Cam and all of us a thing or two about being a real man.

If he is blocking people on Twitter simply because they question him (in a mature fashion, mind you), then he needs to man up and get some thicker skin.

You say all this, yet you expect Cam to talk to the media when they have disrespected him his whole career. To me, that is very hypocritical. You're holding that man to a standard that you don't even go by

Dude, top dawg is either a journalist or he's the biggest journalist fellator ever born.

His ONLY standard when it comes to media and journalism is "they can do whatever they want and how dare you question them".

    • Don't have to be miss cleo. His weakness are length, athleticism, creating his own shot, defense, finishing at the rim,  Strengths - shooting and IQ.   Likely won't work as non athletic shooters don't typically work.

    • I live in Indiana and took a trip that weekend to watch my two friend's teams play (Chiefs and Vikings) IN Minnesota when they were playing at a college field, I think TCF? Anyways, our plan was to watch the game (noon game) then do some shopping at the Mall of America, I wasn't planning on watching the Panthers play Seattle since I was out sight seeing and walking around after the noon game had ended. By the time we were walking back into the Mall the Panthers were down by 2 scores in the 4th or going into the 4th and we were all thirsty from walking around for 2.5 hours after the Vikings game so we decided to postpone shopping until after we ate. We found this nice little sports bar inside the mall that had the game on. Man, I'm so glad we skipped shopping because that was probably the most excited I've been in some time for a win. Beating Seattle in 2015 felt like the "monkey off the back" sort of feeling and I knew we had finally arrived as a team. The entire bar erupted when Cam hit Olsen for that walk off TD. Literally one of the greatest moments of my life. My friend wasn't so happy though lol, by the time the Panthers game ended ALL of the stores inside the mall had closed and he wasn't able to get any souvenirs. It was his first time watching a Vikings game live and making a trip like that so he was legit upset lol. I on the other hand couldn't have been happier.
