Okay, Cam got sacked frequently and badly in the Superb Owl. Time to get over it.

In Remmer's defense, the guy gave up 5.5 sacks all season, playing every down played on offense. That's 5 and a half times out of 1,315 plays where he was beat by the person he was guarding against. That is a sack per play rate of 0.004...

Sure, not all of those plays were passing plays. Not all of those did he block his guy one on one. But some of you want to judge those Superb Owl sacks as a complete failing of Remmers and the work he put in this year. Really? I mean, really?

The guy iron mans it for every single play of the season, gives up only five and a half sacks, keeps his QB protected through the playoffs and then gets burned in the Superb Owl by probably the best pass rusher in the league all while getting no help? Heck he even got knocked off of one of his blocks by an errant Fozzy Whittaker if I recall.

And this guy is garbage to you? Come on, get some perspective. If any other team had that kind of performance at right tackle, their fans would be going, okay, we've got that taken care of, where else do we need help?

Bunch of panty-waisted, whiny Maddenites.

Not calling him a scrub, but he's clearly the weak-link of the line. Also, you have to consider the reason Cam was sacked so little was because we were in pass protect more than any team in the league. The fact that we have to sacrifice an extra receiver out of the backfield or tight end almost every pass play in order to help out Remmers is a problem.

Heck, we went 17-2, made it to the Super Bowl. Looks like they must have known what they were doing. We got to Levis Stadium, though, and all of a sudden we forget how to chip block and Cam plays just a bit slower than usual.

Yep, Remmers is definitely not a scrub, not a scrub in the bunch there. We've got some young guys coming up, we're solid now. Probably be even better next year -- lines take time to gel.
