we need to win out AND get help to even think about the 3rd seed..

let us whisper of a dream..

Hawks next 3 games are Toronto, Celtics, and Cavs so I see them finishing with 34 losses.

49-33 would at least be good enough to tie Miami for the 3.

It's not going to happen either way with Batum out.

Is it more serious than day to day? I figured he'd be back in the lineup by Friday.

I would honestly be fine with the 6, especially if Miami is the 4/5.  I really want to see a Miami-Lebron series.  I could definitely see them getting in Lebron's head if things got hairy.  Meanwhile we would be able to avoid him until the ECF.  I would like to play Boston.

Winning out is pretty much the only way to get the #3 seed as others have said. We would need Boston to also lose one of their remaining games, hopefully against ATL. We would need Miami to lose to Boston and one other game (plausible) and we need ATL to lose to Cleveland and Toronto which could definitely happen. I really think it all hinges on us winning out. If we can win out I think everything else will fall into place. It's crucial to get Batum back for that game at Boston.

    • We need fireworks for game 3 or so--when we hit 200.
    • That's Quarterback money, insanity . If green bay doesnt make the super bowl during this contract they gave him, its basically a failure with that level of compensation of money and picks.
    • 2026 draft is shaping up to be extremely interesting now, we have the Cowboys, Rams, and Browns all with 2 first rounders next year in what people are assuming to be a QB laden draft.  Cowboys better hope Ezeraku ends up being extremely good. They didn't just lose Micah Parsons this off season, they also lost Demarcus Lawrence.   And iirc their best linebacker Overshown went down partway through the season last year. Trevon Digs (CB) is coming back from a major injury.  They might have an absolutely abysmal defense this year.  Jerry really fuged them by giving Dak his most recent contract.  They could have traded his ass too and did a hard reboot .
