Bottom line --- josh Norman talked his way out of Carolina. His constant talk of being the best corner in league and wanting to be the highest paid became annoying to our FO. Josh is good, and I will miss him but, he's not the best corner in the NFL and he views himself as being better and more valuable than he actually is.

I'm sure if Olivier Vernon had come to Gman and said "I want to play for Carolina, offer me whatever you see fit" he could have been here.

Also CJ & Tolbert & Love, all of whom accepted less money to come back and play with the Panthers.  CJ especially really showed his commitment to the team.  (And yes, I know his situation is different than Josh's - CJ has already made his money.)

I don't begrudge Josh leaving and trying to get his payday at all... but the risk of him being a distraction was quite high.
