Another quick 2015 Season in Review Stat - Home vs. Away Winning %

As a fringe benefit of doing the data analysis for our Red Zone performance during the 2011 - 2015 seasons (posted below), I also had a chance to update tables I'd created to track our home vs. away performance.

We currently have a fantastic 13 game home winning streak going, dating back to week 15 vs. Tampa in 2014, and including our 3 home playoff games.

Bank of America is becoming something of a fearsome place to play for our opponents.

But it wasn't always this way, even quite recently.  Looking back at 2011 - 2012 reminded me of that today.

Here's our win-loss record for home vs. away games since 2011:

In 2012, we actually had a higher winning % on the road than at BOA.  However, since 2013 we've been playing very well at home, a .786 winning percent at home in those years, versus only .375 in 2011-2012.

So now, not only do we have the solid weapons on the field that DG finds in the draft and that our coaches help to excel, but Panther fans are becoming part of the team's success.  Long may it continue!

I think I've posted the following table before, but here's the 2015 point totals and point differentials for our regular season home & away games:

Our point differential at home was double that of our away games in 2015!  SWEET CAROLINE indeed!

I've always felt there was something special about home games. I feel we are at our best at home recently. You go there, and the place is just wild. It's just such a great atmosphere.

I remember going to last years regular season finale with a group of guys who nabbed us some tickets. The train ride there was hyped, with this group starting the "keep pounding" chant on the way there. Going in the stadium, the excitement, the energy, it was surreal.

We were sitting next to this Bucs fan who would talk non-stop about Winston and Mike Evans, and talking about how the Bucs will pummel the Panthers like the Failcons did.

Next thing you know, he left during the 3rd quarter fuming after my group called him out and made him eat his crow. It's just awesome.

The shouts of "M-V-P" resonating through the stadium, the "keep pounding" chant echoing throughout, it's an experience you just won't get anywhere but Bank of America.

I was there for the season finale too.  It was incredible.  Those chants of M-V-P / CaMVP

Wish I could have been at one of the home playoff games, but my schedule & finances didn't cooperate.

Was at both the seattle and arizona game.  Got the tickets for the seattle game for free and was poo drunk by halftime, i was having a hard time taking it all in.  The arizona game i bought me a single ticket and stood in the top of 545 and did not drink a drop, i wanted to soak in the experience.  Its a night ill never forget.  That place was nuts.
