Let's hope Vegas odds are accurate!

Out of curiosity, I just checked out the Vegas point spreads for games through week 16 posted today at ESPN.

If my quick tallies are accurate, Vegas predicts:

Panthers to go 13-2 (losses to Denver & Seattle)

Atlanta to go 3-11 with 1 game being a pick  - WOW.

New Orleans and Tampa Bay to each go 4-9 with two games each being picks.

I'd take it!

Seattle is at 12-3 (losses to NE, AZ, GB)

The Arizona page is messed up a bit, but I think they also are predicted at 12-3 (losses to Panthers, Vikings, Seattle)

BUT:  Packers look to be the NFC favorites through week 16, with 14 wins, no losses and 1 pick (against the Vikings)

Minnesota comes in at 12 - 2 with 1 pick.  (losses to Panthers, and Green Bay;  Pick with Green Bay)

Actually, you'd be betting that there aren't FIVE NFC teams with 12+ wins, since Panthers, Packers, Vikings, Seattle, AZ are all currently predicted to have at least 12 wins out of only 15 games played.  Week 17 isn't listed yet.

I've not looked at totals for any of the AFC teams yet.

I think he's saying there aren't going to be more than 3, i.e., the o/u is 3.5

Anywho . . . it may be arrogant, but right now idc about records because I think we're in the playoffs.  I just hope for everyone to be healthy, and be ready to push for that home field throughout!

Again...Vegas lines are NOT anyone's prediction of who will win the game.  They are an indication of the points expected to be needed to get even betting on both teams.

True.  My bad.  As will be obvious, I don't gamble - at least not through Vegas, I've been known to do some "friendly wagers" with family -  so forgive me for interpreting these projected point spreads incorrectly!

I've said it for months.  The fact we're not a legacy franchise and therefore have far less casual bettors playing futures odds are the only reason we're not the listed "favorite".  We're favored at Denver too btw.  http://www.vegasinsider.com/nfl/odds/las-vegas/.
