LOL, I have appreciated Voth since he was a network guy.  He always replied to questions I had and would give sincere, genuine effort at finding things out when other reporters were busy mouth breathing their way late into interviews already in progress.  That being said, I have to admit, it is starting to feel like he is transitioning over from legit journalism to click-bait sensationalism territory.

Him being the sole source saying Stephen Hill hasn't looked to be back to pre-injury form, the KB "scare" tweet today, then him wrapping today's practice up with saying Ginn, Philly, and Byrd are redundant...  WTF is going on with him?

Saying a player is redundant because of their size, strengths, etc., is pretty dumb.  That's like telling Gettleman don't draft Funchess because you already have KB.  Don't draft Worley because you already drafted Bradberry.  Don't draft KK or Butler because you already drafted Star...  SMH...  I'm just not really getting him right now.

This is his business and he wants a pay raise. This is unfortunately the way he's attempting to get it, and that is sad.

add in his comments about Cam post super bowl and I don't know why anyone bothers to link his tweets or anything else he has to say. What started off so promising has turned into a hot mess.

Not sure how I feel about this. I guess it's a good sign the coaches have faith in our rookies on the outside, but I think Bene is stronger on the outside. I was thinking he would move to the outside permanently and have a break out season.

It's not about where Bene is stronger at. It's we don't have anyone stronger inside, than Bene

God.. This fanbase... so sensitive. If you don't like something you read you attack the writer as having some other motive.

What's so controversial about saying the FO would rather have more size at WR?

Your other examples just aren't the same. Especially from a timing standpoint. Funchess isn't the same as KB. We lost two outside corners. Both out DTs are coming up on contracts and it's a rotational position.

You guys would get mad if Voth said it doesn't make sense to have two Tolberts I swear.

Where did I attack him?  I said I've always appreciated his efforts and he has been one of my favorite reporters/writers to ever cover the team, BUT I sense that he is starting to look for more splashy headlines or tabloid-esque info rather than legit, solid, reliable facts (like he relied on in the past).

Furthermore, I'm not the only one who has offered criticism of Voth.  There's plenty more in this thread and every other thread since camp started.  This is the first time I've said anything critical of his recent reporting, which as a longtime supporter, should be further proof that something has changed.

To your issues about player redundancies:

The problem is, Voth is reporting opinion, for one.  For two, it makes no sense no matter what position you're talking about.  When is the last time you heard an NFL front office say, "we have too much speed at that position, one of those fast guys has to be cut.  Can't have too many fast guys at one position."  Lol.

And furthermore, it's just not a very informed comment considering the acquisitions and moves we've made under Gettleman.  He is going to pick the best 53, regardless of "redundancies" in our eyes.  So, that makes his own observation redundant, lol.
