Final record predictions?

I see us going 5-11.  We should beat Tampa at the end of the year and maybe beat Atlanta (pay back game maybe) but really don't see any of the other games as winnable, given the way this team rolls over.

I honestly have NO friggin idea, and I'm not going to try and guess at this point.   I'm totally baffled by this season's team.

We looked so great for 2 - 3 quarters yesterday and then just imploded.  One or two plays going the wrong way and we get the L.

It felt like we're so close to putting a string of wins together... some guys who'd been struggling are looking solid, but we just keep coming up short.   And just when we get a bit healthier, we get new key injuries. (Andy Lee being the latest...)

It really does feel like the "football gods" (which I actually totally don't believe in) are against us... so many different things going wrong.  And yet, there are still hints of greatness and beautiful football in flashes... It's utterly heartbreaking and maddening to think about what COULD have been if a few plays here or there had gone the other way.

More than ever it is obvious how football is a game of inches.  Last year we somehow made our own luck.  This year we just can't seem to do it.

And so, predictions seem kind of pointless when by many measures, with just a bit more luck, one or two plays swinging the other way, we could easily be 6-3 instead of 3-6... Given the way the season is going, I'm not exactly optimistic.  I'm guessing we won't manage to put together the first-ever back to back winning seasons we all expected to see... but hope I'm wrong and that this team's heart and character can still lead to an amazing turn around.  That would be something special to see even if this overall season has been heartbreaking.
