Gruden sure does seem to praise Carolina's players more than your typical analyst does. I have wondered if he isn't trying to grease some skids for next season.

I would say yes. He dose talk very highly of them.

If we were gonna go for an offensive minded coach, I wouldnt mind Russ Grimm at least interviewing for the job, should it come open. He's an offensive line coach, right? At least we know he'll empahsize our running game.

I dont think you will get Fox's excitement back unless you put a fire under his ass. Players and coaches both have to know that there isn't a guarantee in your contract. Fox doesn't seriously have to worry about keeping his job. He'll just tell JR it was a bad day to have a bad day and JR will say it's ok, we'll do better next time. When you have to play to get paid, it changes your outlook. How big a contract are you going to get in FA if your ass is on the bench because your lazy. Fox has gotten lazy. He doesn't have to worry. But at this point he probably doesn't even care anymore. Someone will hire him, he does have a NFC championship after all.
