Ron Rivera says he'll be at Leonard Fournette's pro day next week.

 

Rivera says there were several players he wanted to see in person. Mentions seeing McCaffrey and Solomon Thomas last wk at Stanford.

 

Looking back to Newton's season, Rivera says hits sustained early on had impact, but he's excited about who he'll be surrounded by in '17.

Rivera has been busy on the Pro Day circuit. Fournette's Pro Day at LSU is April 5.

 

RR on Michael Oher: "In talking to Michael and listening to Michael, I think he's going to play."

 

Rivera sounds confident about prospects of Michael Oher returning while adding we'll have to see how it goes when he does get out there.

 

RR on Julius Peppers: "I think he has a lot left in the tank. Look at Tom Brady."

Ron Rivera asked about Colin Kaepernick. Takes long pause and says Panthers haven't thought about it. "We believe we have a quarterback," he says. Rivera said a veteran like Kaepernick would be brought in to compete to be a starter, and Panthers already have Newton.
