The Panthers will be 3-3

You don't think Santana Moss, Clinton Portis and Antwaan Randle-El count as weapons? Gotta disagree there.

I think Zorn is the source of a lot of their issues (Snyder of course beingt the ultimate problem).

Well Portis is averaging 60 yards a game, Campbell is the Skins 2nd leading rusher.

A tight end Cooley is there #2 pass catcher, so yeah, more help would be good.

Skins, Bucs and Bills should all be wins. The Panthers are a better team than them. Look, the Panthers have played good teams so far this season... teams that right now are playing better football than the Panthers. The next 3 are not playing good ball. This is a fortuitous schedule for the Panthers, IMO. They get a bye week to get their poo straight, then get 3 poor teams to play and build up some confidence and momentum. Those two results can be huge in the NFL. The Panthers just need to nut up and get their heads out of their collective asses.

Nope you are wrong we will be 4-3. The teams we have played the last 3 weeks are not bad teams. However the next four teams Redskins, TB, Bills and Ari are all struggling. Have you seen any of the next four teams that we play. I have and those teams are having same or worse issues then we are. Before you say "great win against the bad teams." First that is what you are suppose to do, and second that might give them some good mojo to start beating the better teams later in the schedule. All is not perfect but the Panthers are not out of it yet.

To say the Panthers were better than the Cowboys was wrong, is what I was saying.

IDK that it is. I do think we have better talent (just IMHO) we just got outcoached (which is sad because it was Wade Phillips). Maybe I'm wrong but I honestly believe with the right Coach and Scheme this team has all the talent to be a playoff contender year in and year out.

The Panthers definitely have the talent to be a playoff team. There's no question about that. I really don't know what it is. I hope the offense is not losing confidence in Jake... if that happens, the bottom's going to fall out, and it's going to be monumental... John Fox needs Jake to succeed... likewise for Hurney. Jake now has that added pressure to his job- he has his job, his coach's job, and his general manager's job on his shoulders as well as his offense's success. Jake needs to get his mojo back. Right now, I cannot think of any other QB in the league that is carrying that king of weight on his shoulders...

I can see this. Like a thread I started on the Redskins game truly being the make or break game.

I agree dim and I think that's why the frustration level is so high. We all know the Panthers are much better than they have performed.

Getting clocked is one thing and I can live with that.

Beating yourself and making mistakes and allowing the other team too many chances to win adds up.

I agree the Panthers could end up being 3-3. It still doesnt mean all the problems we have seen for far to long now wont rear its ugly head again. I can almost guarantee you it will. No matter what happens over the three or four games this Panther team will no doubt lose more games than win due to the poor defense, poor tackling, horrible special teams and possibly non productive offense. The offense is actually the one phase of the game that could actually salvage some games if it can every dominate like it did last year. But other than that, I see no better than 7-9 maybe 8-8 season. If they win any more games than that I will be surprised. I say this sadly, and like every season like this will have the false hope I am wrong.

    • Was just reading the Ask the Old Guy story on the team's website and was shocked to see that only two 2nd Rounders have signed so far, 30 of them haven't. That isn't normal, the Texans really screwed things up for the rest of the league, no other explanation that I can think of for 30 of the 32 picks to still be unsigned at this point.
    • They need to address CB before season starts. This is not going to cut it.
    • Except it wouldn't be Rodgers leading them on a postseason run, it would be the defense and he's there to not screw up their great games. Which is why..... This times a million. I didn't watch a ton of the Jets last year, but from what I did see, Rodgers himself didn't look like a bum, the team just struggled and was more than likely due to poor coaching on the whole.  The Steelers don't need MVP level Rodgers to win games, they just need him to be good enough to make some plays when it matters because the defense is keeping them in games every week regardless. In their 7 losses last season, the Steelers scored 10, 13, 17, 17, 17, 19, and 24... while giving up 19, 20, 24, 27, 27, 29, and 34 in those games.  With only marginally better offense last year, they probably end up winning a few more games too. They only scored over 27 points in 3 games last season. I think this is a great move by the Steelers and if Rodgers can stay healthy all year, will get them back into the playoffs and could make some noise if their defense is up to the normal level of a Steelers defense.
