Adam Schefter Believes Tribusky Will Be The #1 Overall Pick

Why Trubisky? He couldn't break the starting line up at QB University UNC? All the things he does well that scouts like, he has probably been doing well for the years he rode the pine in college, however the coaches that saw it day in and day out didn't think he was good enough to start. Meanwhile, Deshaun Watson, playing in the same conference, shreds Alabama's defense twice on the biggest stage, has better stat's then Trubinsky, is rated lower?

Garret, who gained 4.5 of his 11.5 sacks last season against a G5 team with a losing record, is ahead of the likes of Fournette, Adams, Watson, et al. All blue chip players. This stuff makes no sense to me and if it were anyone but the Browns, the correct pick would be made here: Fournette number 1, trade back to get picks and take Watson later in the first round.

Look at it this way. The one main knock on Trubisky is his lack of experience. Whereas, the main knock on Watson is his arm.

If both players are rated similarly, you go with the QB that can make all the throws. And this year, that is Trubisky.

With Trubisky, you are hoping he can overcome his inexperience. And with Watson, you are hoping that he can transition from a possession type Offense, to a more downfield type Offense.

All in all. It still comes down to what you feel best fits your team. But man, it's heaven to us fans.

Watson lacks some velocity on throws but he isn't Teddy Bridgewater weak. Sure Trubinsky can make the throws, and put the ball all over the field, but so can Blake Bortles. Matt Ryan doesn't have a cannon but he still wins when the rest of the team gives him a chance.

Everything i've seen from both QB's, including leadership qualities, makes me like Watson. He brought Clemson from being a team "Clemson's" to a team that went to back to back Championships through the playoff system. A team that beat Ohio State (who has two Top 10 talents starting at corner) 31-0 where Watson scored 3 TD's, and then beat Alabama (which goes without saying) with 4 TD's, including a game winning drive.

I'm not a Clemson fan but the fact that this is even a debate is ridiculous. Think Aaron Rodgers riding the pine for four years ridiculous. Some team, that doesn't need a QB is going to draft him, he will sit for a little while, then once that player retires he will come in and light the place up. Meanwhile, the QB needy team that drafted number one that year will continue to suck for another 8 years.

I mean, that is what the draft is for us fans. We get to speculate, and argue over players that, chances are, have no bearing on us Panther fans.

We don't need a QB, yet we have threads about them. We get to debate which RB best fits, even though we aren't taking one.  And best of all? We get to call some talking head an idiot, without having one shred of evidence to back it up. Or which team is the biggest idiot, and why.

Lots of things to get excited about. Even if Watson is the first QB off the board, someone will say he was over drafted. Fun times I tell ya what.
