I would not go that far.  He is a very good character, regardless of his height.  

i do agree he is not the best though.  He has never been one of my top tier characters.

being a little person informs the character though. you could say "if they weren't ___ would you still like them" about anyone's favorite character.

if brienne was pretty would you still like her? well it would be a different character, because being ugly informs the character and is part of the character.

But that's my point, they like him more bc he's a little person (with his wit). If he were, say, Joffery with the wit no one would like him. But that was when Tyrion was a drunk. He's been dull as can be the past few seasons, so I don't see how anyone could still like him ... unless it's the fact hes' a LP. Meanwhile, Euron, The Hound, and Tormund are killing it.

he's dull now because all the witty stuff he used to say was book quotes. now it's just show writers.

People generally do not change their opinion on characters (or people in general) once their mind is made up.

He was one of My favorites in the books before the show was a gleem in someones eye. The dialogue man...the dialogue.  Vary's for the same reason. In the books Arya and Briannes arcs were brilliant and the show did them justice. Jamie Lannister was a dick in the books and the show gives me the same impression. Cersie is much more evil on tv than books imo.

Almost game time...been looking forward to this one...i really hope the character interactions are as good as I want them to be.
