This is going to sound stupid. But, it is what it is. Would you trade Kemba & our first round pick next year for Michael Porter Jr. (first pick in the Draft) after the season?

(1) dont even know if Porter will be good; i.e. Harry Giles

(2) if would take more than Kemba and our low 1st round; possibly not lottery

whoever owns the no1 pick next year probably would not even trade it straight up for Porzingis alone.

Yeah, it was wishful thinking on my part.  Because I honestly think MPJ will be a beast, and, no way this team gets above a 4-5 seed, even in the shitty East.

Why? Hes still very young. And finally in his prime. Playing like one of the top PG in the league today. I would not trade him.

Because this team has zero reall assets Kemba is it (& Malik Monk)as of today. I agree with that Kemba is one of the top scoring PGs today and in his prime. However he will probably want a max deal that would take him to mid 30's?

Kemba's limitations as a playmaker and on defense still male him an odd piece to build around. It is why you need a Batum type player along side of him.

However the team around Kemba is getting old (Marvin, Batum, Howard) and a roster overhaul with Kemba at a Max contract while he is on the backside of his careet may not be good long term.

If Malik Monk shows what a lot of us are excited about then possibly..he can be the new building block.

I hate it..Kemba has developed his game to be an exciting player..but the front office took too long and made too many roster mistakes along the way.

This trade Kemba discussion is not really about Kemba but about the roster's age, third max contracts and where this team wants to go.

It just may have to be a tough decision on Kemba 2 years from now if he only will accept the 5 year max or wants to join a contender.

Yeah, I was looking forward to the future.  Man, I would LOVE to have MPJ in the Draft.

    • Another Guard?? Small ball was just a meme right?????   Again can anyone confirm Kon had more than 2 dunks for the season?? I watched more highlights and saw lots of layups. Did see one thunder dunk tho...   Jeff just needs to finish this off-season with a guard package trade for a PF/C. Call Portland, that's a start!
    • XL treatment is in the top 5 What The Fuccks for the the huddle. It just happens that the 32nd team and 33rd team GMs knew each other very well. Panthers viewed the 5th year option as being worth a late 6th and a trade was made to make XL a 1st rounder.  He had injuries in OTAs, mini camp and TC. Like others had more injuries in season and just kept playing. Half the season was bad BY and dalton. He still had 500 yds, 5 TDs, and like 45 recs.  Just super weird the treatment. BTW people love to focus on the bad plays, but there was only one WR that caught a TD on the AP NFL Defensive Player of the Year, can you guess who that was?? By many accounts the Pats wanted XL badly and had to select Polk instead, there's strong rumors that Polk is either going to be cut or traded for a 2078 7th rounder. Panthers could have easily been in this situation if not for the Bills allowing the trade up. It pays to have friends.... I feel XL will force some fans to plates of raccoon as he develops. (please stay healthy)
