I'll give a short summary:

On Julius Peppers Being Back: He's a student of the game. Comes in and takes notes like he's a first year player on the front row. All talk about him "taking plays off" and "not showing effort" are false and unjustified. Says expectations that a physical freak must make every single play is unrealistic, and a lot of things go into what happens on the field.

Washington is excited about having him and how much of an impact he'll make this season. Lots of flexibility in how to use him, whether inside or not.

They have lots of plans to use him that can't be disclosed until the 49er game.

On Coaching KK Short With His New Contract: Same guy as he has always been. His character's amazing, and his work ethic is unreal. Contract has not affected anything, and he's pushed himself harder. Washington prides in how he makes sure his guys give every ounce of effort no matter the circumstance.

On Star Lotulelei's Performance: Denies all accusations that Star is declining. Cites being top 5/6 in run defense nearly all the time. Huge reason for success in the D-line. Dependable to fortify middle of the field against the run and very good as a pass rusher when let loose. Cites Arizona Cardinals game where he got 3 sacks.

On Daeshon Hall's Skillset/Potential: Polishing position and fundamentals. Brings energy, length, and gets guys away from body. Gets separation and sets the edge. Has a fantastic attitude on the field and doing his best to be a part of the d-line group.

On Mario Addison & His Usage: Jokes about how Washington should get part compensation from all his player's contracts. Doing great in his new role as an every-down DE. Spectacular camp and doing well as a pass-rusher. Understands how to stop the run & the QB.

hes the type of player that wont be valued by fans until hes gone. Dont kniw what you got till its gone

 

 

stopping the run is HUGE. he also has the personality that doesnt care about stats and attention. I feel he avoids attention.  Win/win
