Outside of the stupid unnecessary roughness, he played lights out today. Big in the run game and very solid in pass rushing as well.

Hope he keeps it up.

So far Vern hasn't made the impact expected from a first round pick. Sometimes it just takes a little while for a player to get acclimated to the NFL.

It's taken Funchess 3 seasons to show his potential. CMac is starting to look better running the ball after a slow start to begin the season.

Vern did play well today. I hope this game marks a turning point for him. You can never have too many GOOD pass rusher/D-lineman.

It'll be interesting to see what we do in the offseason. Starr is a FA. I think we need to resign him. But, we just gave KK an extension this year. If we let him go Vernon is really gonna have to step up his game.

Game announcers said he is a big disappointment.

Just reporting.

Yea I heard that and about jump through the tv.

He has really come into his own. Hope he continues to improve.

But you got to consider where it came from.  Just wanting to stir up crap!

Just my two cents worth!!!:shades:

    • That makes me wonder, how many starting tackles in the NFL and/or elite tackles have short arms? I feel like there’s probably lots of tackles that end up being drafted in later rounds because they had short arms or didn’t have the physical tools.     also why not draft a tackle in the later rounds that we could move to guard or center if they fail, instead of drafting a center? If we draft a center we know they aren’t going to play tackle but if you draft a tackle they could end up playing any of the 3 positions, look at BC for example. It feels like it’s a better decision to draft a tackle in later rounds than a center.
    • Damn back to 10th. I only caught the last 5 minutes but some of those 3's were horrible lol. In that close of game you can't be launching those many hail mary's when you could be chipping away from the foul line. I guess no one wanted to get in the paint and didn't trust the refs to give them the calls maybe? Gonna watch the highlights to get a better idea of the flow of the game
    • I agree.  The Big 12 is a good conference, and he is the swinging dick in that conference.  If Bill Self retires, that sets Kansas back a bit, and Arizona moves even further ahead as the best team in that conference.  Arizona can crush west coast recruiting with USC / UCLA no longer being relevant for LA kids, and Gonzaga not being able to compete moneywise.   If Lloyd comes here, he will be second fiddle to Duke every single year in NIL and recruits.  Not to mention the entire SEC and Big East for kids who want to stay in those regions to play. This is why I keep saying go get Mark Few.  Has proven he can do more with less from an X / O perspective but can also recruit All American players and compete at a high level. He's a god at Gonzaga, but for $9M he'd make the move as that's 4x what he's making at Gonzaga, and makes him the highest paid coach in the country.
