It's Quiet. Maybe a Little Too Quiet.

I won't cry to see Cam traded.  I could see it happening.  And we wouldn't get as much in return as most people would expect.  Two 1sts, a 2nd and a conditional pick in 2019 I think would be what it would be.  I could also see us getting a 1st overall, swapping the 4th and 24th, 2 2nds and a conditional next year.  Both those scenarios would be hopeful and the most we'd get.

That would free up 21.5 million.  A nice chunk of change to chase a few other free agents.  I'm ready to move on from the Cam experiment.  He's great when he's on but terrible when he's not.  Too inconsistent in my mind.  When game day comes we just never know which Cam is stepping on the field.

Flame away.

I'm torn. Part of me agrees that it would be interesting to move on from Cam, get a rookie QB in here and spend the money on pieces to build around the QB. Load up on picks to build youth into the defense and use the money to re-sign Norwell, and go find a vet WR like Mike Wallace for the new young QB.

But then it's like, how many years would it take to see Super Bowl level success with the new guy and the semi youth movement versus just plug and play guys being added and still making a run for another 2 years before blowing it up.
