I've not heard anything. I've saw. All the tight-ends in this draft suck at blocking. Goedert admitted in an interview that he doesn't even wanna block.LOL

Gronk is a complete elite tight end when it comes to blocking and catching for real.

Olsen blocks okay/avg if you wanna be all the way honest. He's more of a catcher. Just like Hayden Hurst.

You do not draft players in first round that are not complete or have holes in there game. That's for later rounds. which is why Hayden is a 2nd to 5th rounder, just like every other Tight-End in this draft.

Panthers will fail again with this pick just like G-man failed with his stupid ass panic drafting of CB when non are on team anymore and Bradberry is up and down.

Cam does not need a stand out WR/TE he needs a god damn standout O-LINE(and Offensive coach) like BRADY and PEYTON have every year.

Cam is the standout on offense, without him this team would be  TEXANS all over again.lol

So again Hughes, Wynn, Daniels are all better picks. In first round and I'll enjoy saying I told ya so when the Panthers pick a stupid ass pick again. Another losing season in the inconsistent history of Panthers. Cam will probably leave and rightfully so.LOL

Who cares if he leaves. Maybe he will learn how to put some touch on the ball and quit overthrowing people. Then maybe we wouldn't have to keep getting more wrs to adjust to his bad throws. Also quit taking sacks and get rid of the ball. Just saying!!

Goddamn you're dumb. Guess we could spend the next decade looking for a QB that even comes close to Cam.

I really could care less what you say I've seen it when my own eyes. I'm not saying there is anybody out there that's better than Cam to draft. He needs to get better and right now. He has been in the league going on seven years and still struggles with his feet work that's uncalled for. I heard some people blame coaches but from what I hear it's because Cam doesn't want to listen. I hope that changes because I think he could be great. So before you call someone dumb you need to listen or you can ignore me like everyone else that doesn't have a clue.

Oh i know the Panthers or most fans dont care if he leaves which is why when he does this franchise will never win poo or sniff winning poo.

More than half the posters really wanted the GREAT Andrew  Luck deep down anyways.LOL

Look Cam is not without fault. But before you be dismissive of him, show me a qb that would have led this team in 2015 to SB. That's not a fluke as seen vs Saints ELITE SECONDARY in playoffs.

Cam can win with above avg joes at the position. But he's gonna have to have an O-line that can block and pass protect at an ELITE level. You guys love McCaffrey so much but dude is gonna be nothing with an o-line that can't open huge holes for him. He can not shed tackles but can make you miss and outrun you for a moment.

So the way this team is built I would not be mad with O-line or defensive end/pressure help in first.

And then you keep writing off Mark Andrews, Ian Thomas, and Goedert like they are complete scrubs at pass catching  and not comparable to Hayden.....LOL I bet some big name player that supposed to go 2nd/3rd will drop to 4th or 5th. Happens every year.

Hey man I'm going to be happy either way. Just talking some football, and I just want us to win a super bowl. Get tired of hearing these cowboys and 49ers fans say hey we have 5 rings. That's before we even came into the league.

I’m not disagreeing just wanted to mention that it was Olsen and CMC who came through for Cam in the playoffs with over 200 receiving yards. The WRs did nothing against their secondary and with Clay did more harm than good. Even Jarius Wright and Torrey Smith in the playoffs would have been a godsend.

True, and Funchess, who is a no2 wr at best, had some clutch important catches on Marcus Lattimore.(except the last pass which should have been a game winning td.)

I'm not against getting a tight end or wr but they have to be ready to start and impact the Panthers terrible 3rd down and redzone offense from day 1.

Also which is why I want a wr that can win on the outside vs Elite corners consistently.

Reminder Funchess literally only had one  healthy arm for the last part of the season and he still had his way with Lattimore.

Coincidentally...Jason Boris, HuddleReports' Most Accurate Mock Drafter the past 5 years, has an eerily similar mock for the Panthers.

Funchess just needs to be able to win in contested situations. Needs to use his big body for the big body he is. Once he does that, I honestly think he has all the traits for a viable #1 WR.

Runs routes exceptionally well. Red-zone threat. Able to create separation on his own. These traits already exist.

The one that doesn't is contested catches. That needs to be fixed over the off-season.

    • This play was never designed to go to either DJ or Odunze. The primary read is Burden who is stymied early, with the outlet being Kmet if Caleb doesn't like the option for Burden. Given the situation it's pretty obvious the simple play is to take the free yards with Kmet, or if you want to be aggressive just wait a beat longer for Burden to uncover on his double move. If Moore was ever going to be a viable target in this play then Caleb should have started out reading Odunze to hold the safety in the middle and then coming to Moore, but because he started the snap staring down the right and then came back to the middle late it made it where the safety's leverage remained to the outside of Moore, so he would never have imagined that pass actually being thrown to him in that situation. Realistically DJ's best option in that context is to just occupy the safety to leave a hole open for Caleb to get it to Burden, which is probably why he throttles down vs carrying the safety across.
    • Even with Sonny Styles still on the board I thought it's a no brainer to address the Oline after Icky's injury.  And how can you pass up Fano at 19 given our situation. Then the rest of the draft just kind of made sense with maybe the exception of Klubnik.  But if Canales can fix him and Young goes down. . .I think it's a solid pick. What do you think of this draft?
    • When we didn't trade him to the Rams or the Bears (I believe the Bears said they would take one of Brown/ Burns/DJ Moore) we should have just signed him and kept him.  We should have traded him to the Rams obviously and we should have kept DJ and traded Burns.  We made all three wrong choices with Burns lol.
