Remember that NYG / NE regular season game....

I'm with you. As much as I hated losing this game...we gave the Giants every ounce they could handle us. They feared us before, they came out again but fear meeting us again.

Despite all the fire coming out of everyone's mouth, we have played three solid games in a row now. There's nothing to be ashamed of here. We can be disappointed because we missed opportunities and we let things slip through that we should not have. But if we play the way we did against the Giants, we'll cream just about everyone else in the league ... probably end up playing the Giants again, in New York again ... and put them in a position they don't want to be in.

I am 100 percent with you with this analogy ... we'll be motivated to get back to another crack at the Giants. Assuming we do continue to play solid football, a trip to the Super Bowl will be on the line when we meet them again.

We will beat the Saints and we'll get our rematch. You can't win them all, sometimes you have to pick your fights. This went to OT so the Giants had to play their absolute best just to pull this one out, so you can't say the Panthers suck on the road. Until the very last drive, the Panthers looked like the better team, but then again the last driveis all that matters. We'll bounce back.

If you heard some of them talking after this game and that loss to NE it sounds almost the same. They said things then about getting their offense back on track, getting back to playing good football, gaining confidence etc. They used Carolina the same way they used NE except they won.

Used, past tense? How do we know they won't lay a stinker in the Divisional playoffs and be one and done?

    • Bryce and Dave will determine how many games this team wins next year. It’s not on the WRs. The RBs. LBs. This is about 2 things: 1. Can Bryce continue to come up big in the few key downs that decide most games?  2. Can Canales evolve his play calling to counter punch like the big boys do. Half time adjustments.  teams that score 30+ points on the regular win more games than not. That’s on Bryce and Dave. The offense is top 10 at every position group, save for TE and QB. A baller TE is gravy but not crucial when the receivers are dudes.  The defense is the defense. It’ll be better this season, hopefully by a large margin, but Dave/Bryce is really where it’s at.
    • Normally I'd wholeheartedly agree with this. But I feel like teams figured out this offense after the Raiders game. Bryce was so inept the first 2 games that we couldn't really even run the offense. Dalton's first game showed what we had. But after that game, coverages got a lot tighter and windows were smaller. When Bryce came back in, his ability to extend plays made a big difference. It's really difficult to stop a QB that can beat/escape 1on1 tacklers. It puts a lot of pressure on the defense when you blitz. And he was completing throws in tight coverage with anticipation. Point being Bryce wasn't throwing to wide open receivers that were schemed open by the offense. Occasionally yes. But not often.
    • With the additions we've made to our roster combined with the state of the division and the conference as a whole there is no excuse for this team not to make a legitimate push for 8-9 wins. Anything less is honestly inexcusable. There will be no more free passes for being a doormat in this iteration of the league where even mediocre teams are competing for playoff spots.
