Fine with this. This draft could shake out really well. It seems like good prospects in positions of need should be available when we pick. For instance, we could go: CB, TE, RB, S, C/G but say our target TE isn't there at 2, well we should be able to land a C/G or S there without issue and come back to TE later on.

If we did miss out on Chubb or our choice TE at 2, I'd really be fine with going Safety, Safety with 2 and one of the 3rds. It seems like there is a little depth with safey and lord knows it's a position of need.

Ideal situation and my mock

1. Jackson

2. Chubb

3a. Ragnow (trade up using next years 3rd since we'll get another one for Norwell)

3b. White

5. Dalton Schultz- primary blocker TE for that 2nd spot

No safety selected before the 6th round?

All of these players fit the panthers but taking Ragnow means either he or Moton will once again be riding the pine. I want to see us getting starts out of picks in rd 1-3.

That'd be a win. I'd be worried white doesn't make it that far. I'd be tempted to double up on safeties. I'd be so pumped with a talent infusion in the secondary to go with the best front 7 in football.

    • It's crazy with how much winning was going on when we had a little cool off period that we're still just a couple games out of 6th. Moussa is getting better every week and Coby is getting comfortable. Would be nice to get to 6 but I think this team is a lot more stacked than the last couple play ins. I can't remember the exact rules but if you're 7th seed and win the first game I think you automatically move on and don't have to play the second game?
    • I think it was a thing for sure. Panthers weren’t too many people’s first choice. Or 5th choice.  2022 and 2023… coaches fired mid season. Consecutive years. You want any of that?  He has definitely overseen a rehab of how the Panthers are perceived. Because we are a place that is seen as up and coming. And just the little thing of he accommodated Theilen so graciously, that gets noticed. It all adds up. Dan is doing a lot of things right, probably most things.  Needs a good draft.
    • K, I think that is dumb, but you do you. I didn't find anything online that made him out to be a dislikable person. I am certain the Panthers would have cared so much if they lost your fandom if they hired Sean Payton. But bet you would have come crawling back if Sean lead us to a Super Bowl victory or Golden leads UNC to a champion ship. It is easy to say you are gonna leave a team if the hire someone you dislike when the chips are down. But people like you tend to come crawling back once the team finds success.
