I've calmed down

but I have come to a realization. Our kicker is not good in big games. I still haven't gotten over the kickoff out of bounds in the Super Bowl that set up Brady's game winning drive. It'll be a long time before I get over John's miss tonite.

So then you started watching us in the superbowl and got back on after the bucs game?

Certainly your opinion, but I think it's unfair. We asked the guy to make 55 yarder in swirling winds and he almost hit it. I hated his kick out of bounds in the Super Bowl too, but if you remember back to that 2003 season, we won a ton of our games in OT or last second on his leg. He's nowhere near the goat of this game. He didn't let the Giants run for 301 yards!

You're silly. his ONLY other miss this season was a 57 yarder that he shouldn't even have attempted.

Get a grip of yourself and then realize he's one of the best in the game.

The wind CLEARLY carried that ball well left.

are you serious. Kasay has been our heart and soul. Without him, there are no playoffs, there is no superbowl, there is no NOTHING. Cut the nonsense. It was a 50 yard field goal, in the cold and in the wind. WOWWW. People I swear.

Your opinion of him is too high. I love the guy too, don't get me wrong. He is one of the nicest and most decent guys on the team. I'm just being realistic as to his ability to make clutch kicks in the biggest of games.

So you're basically basing your opinion on the kickoff out of bounds in the superbowl and this kick. The dude has made every other clutch kick there is. Didn't he have like 5 game winning kicks in 2003. If he missed those, there is no playoffs that year and there is no superbowl. I mean I know you're frustrated, but atleast try to have some valid points for your argument. You have none, and therefore lose all your credibility.

I still can't believe Kasay let them have that two point conversion so easily.

I never said he was the only problem now did I? I just have zero confidence in the guy when we absolutley have to have a big kick. He can make a ton of kicks when we are up by 14 points. He struggles when its crunch time on a big stage.

    • They can get film of all the games? Every team? Wow! Who knew… Our games with them are big examples of why they are in  the CB market so hard.   It is the study they do getting ready for the games.  Preparing to play against is a little different than just analyzing film in scout mode. Deeper dive. Then you are analyzing post game too.  This goes to why players often change teams but stay in the division. The opponents know each other on a higher level.  Plus if you lost to us, you used to get fired. Now you have to trade your first round pick. Moving up on the world.
    • I honestly can’t believe this team’s turnaround this season. It’s surreal. Figured healthy we’d be fringe playoffs and with another lottery pick could finally turn the corner, but we don’t even need that. This group is ready. We haven’t played remotely well the last 5 games and yet still blew out 5 bad teams by 16+ each game like it was casual practice. We had a few solid teams with Kemba and Big Al but this is easily our best group since the original Hornets moved to NO. Man, what a shift in culture this new ownership group and front office has brought. So damn happy to see it after years of suffering and consistently meaningless games in this stretch of previous seasons.   Only 2.5 games out of the 6 seed, although Miami, Atlanta and Orlando have been playing well too. Gonna be a fun final stretch, hopefully we can get a top 8 seed at the very least. Celtics tomorrow will be a good test. Would be huge to keep the road winning streak up against a very hot top team on the 2nd half of a back to back. We’ve played Boston pretty well the last few years with much of this same group despite sucking so I do feel pretty good about it. Kon is due for a huge game coming off a few cold shooting games (although despite the poor shooting he’s been contributing well with defense, assists and rebounds).
    • It amazes me how underrated Horn has become after he finally was able to stay on the field. Sure last year wasn’t perfect but he was still a huge reason for our rebound defensively and I’d say he’s easily a top 10 corner. You don’t want to see Mike Jackson as our top corner. Any player is available for the right price but I’d be extremely hesitant to move Horn even for a big haul from LA.
