Yeah. Word is he's likely to keep him for now. People will probably be taking bets on how long that lasts.

Regardless, that doesn't stop him from taking the approach of filling open positions with his own people.

Good idea from a guy on Twitter: Have David Tepper do the Keep Pounding drum for the home opener.

Stupid idea from an idiot co-worker: Jerry Richardson should do it one last time.

Could want to get rid of "Keep Pounding".

Yeah, I think that is logical.

That'd shock me.

Got to admit though, I love the idea of him pounding the drum in the first game.

It would definitely shock me too.

I would like to see him pounding the drum and embracing some of the positive Panther traditions.

LaCanfora is a bit hit or miss since he tends to take a small piece if info and run with it as if it's some detailed plan.  So, I'll wait to see how things play out.

With that said, it does make sense that if people have given him good reviews of Hurney that he might not be in such a rush to make a move.  However, I  would still expect a sit down for Tepper to be comfortable that Hurney is aligned with his vision for the Panthers before any final decision is made.

This would also tell me that either the Steelers have asked him to wait to bring over anyone from their staff until next year or Tepper doesn't really want any of the guys we have been speculating about.

One thing is for certain, it will not be a boring time for Panther fans.

That's a very logical possibility.

You can get away with staff changes at this time of year, but it's awkward.

The offseason is obviously the ideal time.
