He’s a 4th rounder in name only. Pick 136, comp 4th or based on pick number an early 5th. Based on his experience last year and Haynes’ size I actually think Haynes has a better chance of getting to PS. That said, he’s not a lock. Doesn’t matter if he a 4th round comp pick, he’s got a better chance if Cox is actually hurt and not ready for camp. If Cox is, saying Haynes is a lock is absurd. He’s clearly not ahead of anyone right now and I have only seen a little info that basically said if an OL gets their hands on him that he is done. That doesn’t scream lock.

ETA: Thomas was our 4th and he was picked 35 players before Haynes. Hall was our 3rd rounder in 2017 and he was picked 59 players before Haynes.

Ok pal we’ll see

If it's between Cox and Haynes, Cox is going to the practice squad. It should be expected for Haynes to struggle with bigger Olinemen given his size and being a rookie.

Haynes also fits a specific role, he's not the caliber of Yannick Ngakoue but that's the role they want him to carve out on the roster. Hard pressed to imagine them putting him on the Practice Squad.

I hope you guys are right, but where he was picked isn’t making him a lock. If he shows he’s too small in camp, he’s not going to make the 53 just because he was a 4th rounder. Sanchez was a PSer and he was picked 141 compared to Haynes’ 136. Calling Haynes a lock at a 4th when Sanchez wasn’t considered a lock as a 5th is being obtuse. It’s a 5 pick difference. I hope like heck he balls out and makes the 53, because that means he had a great camp not that we’re afraid he could get poached.

I'm not saying it's a lock but losing Cox on the ps is whatever since he's provided less than Ryan Dalire.

Other teams didn't have interest in Zach once he couldn't break a suspect corner rotation but I'm not sure we can say that about Haynes.
