I just feel like they're a terrible matchup for us. Hoping for the best.

Last year yes this year I don't think so. Make no mistake we are both very good teams that play very good at home. With that said it will come down to what defense can control what offense. We'll that and lady luck because we are so evenly matched. Maybe I'm a homer but I will take our defense over theirs.

I wouldn't count on the saints losing another game, even on the road. They have some tough ones ahead but that offense is so good. I think we can sweep them though and take the division, but we have to win the turnover differential. You don't want to give Brees more opportunities to score than necessary.

I’m sorry, as much as it pains me to say it, I’m not feeling all the “Saints have a tough schedule ahead” argument. I just don’t see any weakness the Saints have. Great D, elite O, I haven’t seen one thing to make me jump and say that the Saints are going to lose a string of games all of a sudden.

I mean I can’t see one team they play that I can point to and say they are better than the Saints. Rams? Maybe but I still don’t trust them in tough games like the Saints at the dome.

I HATE to say it, believe me, but wouldn’t be surprised at all if the Saints win out and end up with a 14-2 record. Believe me, if it was up to me I would have them lose out and then some, but sadly they are just that good in all areas with no weakness.

Mostly agree but that defense is not "great." Secondary is balls. I still think they win vs. Rams though. I'm going to guess 12-4 or 13-3.

We will beat them if our defensive line gets pressure and helps out the secondary. Not having Worley will help too.

If we go 13-3 or 12-4 its more likely we do win the division, have you seen the Saints schedule? 13-3 wins hands down, you must be high.

I'm not so sure of that. The Saints have been good and down right lucky. I mean Baltimores kicker had not missed a kick since high school.

I disagree with this, they don't have a great D. They have an opportunistic secondary with a decent defensive line. They're also used to playing from ahead, which is why the run defense is ranked so highly, but they're not that great. plus P.J. Williams and Ken Crawley are exploitable. I realize Eli Apple is their new LCB but I've never been that impressed with him.

So, you handicap all of our wins, while making excuses for yours, aside from the Ravens win?

You're the 2nd longest FG in history away from having lost to a 1 win team. Saints dominated the Giants, and the score would have been much worse, had they converted a couple red zone trips. Still won by double digits.

It took a massive choke job from the Eagles for another win. We don't talk about the Patriots winning the SB. We talk about the Falcons choking. That's exactly what happened in Philly. (I don't actually feel this way. Panthers fought hard. Philly got a little conservative, then tight, and the Panthers took that game. Just saying we can all handicap wins.)

Ravens have proven to be good at home, sub par on the road. Good win for the Panthers. But how can you give credit for slaughtering a team we barely beat, but then compeltely discredit the Saints destroying the Skins that you lost to, due to matchups. That's hypocrisy, my friend.

Listen, we're dealing with teams that are 6-1 and 5-2. Discrediting what the Saints have done, while at the same time, hyping the Panthers, is silly. Both teams can be good. Saints very well may lose to the Rams. But Cincy, Philly, and ATL are very winnable games. Cowboys as well.

Saints have beaten 2 teams that you've lost to. Don't come at me with excuses for those, then talk about how much better you beat the Ravens lol.

I doubt they rush him back. Saints dline has depth.

Meh. We are about :40 away from at least being 5 - 0 - 2. We almost tied up both our losses at the end.

That says more about the Panthers, being in every game (even the close ones) or clawing back from a deficit to stay in it.

We'll find out in December when we meet head to head but TBQH the Saints are a lesser team than a year ago, and we're both better and out for revenge.

We were 20 yards and a PAT away from beating the Redskins and we have not played an overtime game? I think you are forgetting about an entire ten minute overtime period that would happen if we tied it up??

That is why I said AT LEAST. If we had 40 more seconds between the Redskins and Falcons games, we could have AT LEAST taken it to overtime and, AT WORST tied both games.

I mean, I'm not taking anything away from the Panthers though lol. Good teams win games and bad teams lose them. Panthers have won a few games that could have gone either way, just like the Saints. Saints are a 3rd down scramble by Fitz away from sending that game to OT as well.

I don't agree that the Saints aren't as good as last year. They've won games just about every way needed, and have only played one really complimentary game all year. I do think the Panthers are improved as well. I don't think either of these teams will go on a 4 or 5 game losing streak, and think the division will be a tough race, and both teams should probably be in the playoffs.

13-3 would mean we beat the Saints once..... I do not see them beating the Rams... if we went 13-3 or 12-4 the losses would likely be to the Steeler's and Saints the saints have to run the Gauntlet.... and their pass defense is awful.... Wentz,Big Ben,Matty Lice,Goff,Cam x 2? That is going to get them a few times... the pessimism around here....

Winning in the dome will be tough.

    • I've seen several in the last couple of weeks. Had a close call this evening walking the dogs. My Rottie was at my side and my pittie was up ahead and about that time I see a stick laying across the driveway maybe 20 feet ahead. We get a little closer and that's no stick. That's a BIG copperhead laying across the driveway on the bridge. I grab my Rottie and now I have him in my right hand and the pittie is on the other side of the snake. She had to have stepped right over it. Neither dog had noticed the snake at this point and I'm trying to he chill and keep it that way. I switch my Rottie to my left hand and tell my little to sit and stay. Now I'm skipping past this copperhead between it and my Rottie and grab my pittie with my right hand. poo, this isn't gonna work. Now we gotta get past this copperhead again. It's about three feet long laying stretched out across the driveway on a 10' wide bridge. We have maybe four feet to play with so here I am with a 120# Rottie in one hand and an 80# pit bull in the other trying both trying to figure out how we're getting past this copperhead and trying to do it fast before they notice it and do something stupid. Finally decide on sending the Rottie who is my right hand scooting up the driveway ahead of us since I'm between him and the snake. We get up to the snake and I guide him ahead and tell him go,go,go, go and he happily goes trotting up the driveway giving me time to swap the pittie to my right hand so I'm between her and the snake and we scurry past. The copperhead never moved and never offered any sign of either aggression nor fear. It was just chilling.
    • Yep they probably have some good tape on Daniels and Washington by now and the Packers do look legit
    • I'm not. I think the Packers may have become legit contenders with that Parsons trade and I wouldn't be surprised if Daniels and Washington have a bit of a coming back down to Earth after taking the league by surprise last year.
