Your record is what it is.  Not oh we arent really 6-3, no we are fuging 6-3.  We lost a single game that anyone with a brain knew it would be a tough one for us to win.  Now nobody saw us getting blown out like that, but poo happens sometimes, I'm just happy that wasnt a playoff game tonight.

it still only counts as a single loss. and people need to quit pretending it was anything more than that.

Ive been a fan since 97' this loss was the worst all around poo fest I've seen as a fan... that includes when the Falcons shut us out, the Clausen years and SB 50.

Honestly wouldnt be suprised at all if we win our next 4 games, its just the next 3 after that are going to be the interesting ones....

I think we beat the Lions.... somthing about prime time/Thursday nighters always get us sh*t on.... I hate Thursday night games.

I dont like them either, short week, and we are the travel team, people have pointed our on here, they are often blowouts with the home team winning. I said as much last week before the game. 

Saints get all of their tough games at home, Panthers get the steelers on 3 days and have to travel. got to love NFL schedule makers sometimes.

The NFL schedule makers hate us.... my other gripe is we always play a division rival on the road week 17.... screwjob.

As far as defenses, totally different eras in terms of the way games were officiated.  The 2003 defense was better, but the secondary could and did mug receivers all the way down the field.  That has been officiated out now- not apples to apples comparison.

That defense had some stinkers too... not 52 points but they still weren't great every week... that team get romanticized (including by me), but they weren't dominant at all during the regular season.

And the 2003 offense didn't come alive until the playoffs, including Smitty for the most part.  This team, while playing in an era more conducive to scoring points, objectively has more skill position talent.

This 18’ team isnt very good. Offense is a playoff offense but the defense is holding us back.
