30 point losses by eventual Super Bowl champions

Last night was rough. In searching for some ray of hope, I wanted to see if any eventual Super Bowl champion had ever been blown out like this. The internet provided the answer.

2003 Patriots, Week 1, at Buffalo. In what ranks with hindsight as one of the more shocking performances in recent NFL history, the Patriots played horribly and the Bills played great, intercepting Tom Brady four times and coming away with a 31-0 win.

1976 Raiders, Week 4, at New England. An offensive explosion for the Patriots. Sam "Bam" Cunningham had 101 rushing yards to lead a balanced attack that racked up nearly 300 yards on the ground, while quarterback Steve Grogan threw three touchdown passes as part of a very efficient performance. The Raiders fumbled four times, losing three of them, as a powerful offensive line struggled to create holes.

1994 49ers, Week 5, vs. Philadelphia. Randall Cunningham threw, and Charlie Garner ran, all over one of the league's most expensive and highly-regarded defenses. On the other side of the ball, the Eagles harassed Steve Young into one of his worst days as a pro, safetying him and forcing two interceptions. 

2012 Ravens, Week 7, at Houston. Joe Flacco would play a miserable game, the worst in the past five seasons by ESPN's Total QBR, as Houston rolled, 43-13.

Patriots got blown out by the Chiefs 41-14 on Monday Night Football in 2014 and everyone was talking about how it was the end of the Patriots dynasty and Tom Brady's done and all that. Then they went on to win the Super Bowl.

Didn't Panthers score more than 31 points last week. You act like this defense has been giving up 31 pts on a regular basis, stop it.

Defense was tired as fug from short week and will bounce back.

I think everyone here can agree, with this veteran core, and this coaching staff, this season has always been Super Bowl or bust. This team has a less than 1% chance of winning the Super Bowl. Absolute best case scenario for this team is 12-4, and that won't even win the division LOL. Time to move on to the post Rivera era.

Those teams didn't allow the DC to cruiSe control a major L. Neither did they get smashed in every aspect of the game like we did.

They just gave up 28 points to the crappy bucs. Just stop with this short week poo and teams coming back from blowouts to go to SB. It's not happening!!!

that wont keep us out of the playoffs...it may motivate us more...I still say playoffs...its not spin at this point of the season
