It is what it is. This season is shot. I'm rooting for the future of the franchise. We need a restart and we need to keep losing to ensure Tepper sees that. A nice draft pick is just the icing on the cake.

One other note...

I know a lot of folks were hoping for the "no back to back winning seasons" thing to end this year. But as of now, the only way that happens is if we win out.

That's not a scenario I have a lot of faith in.

I might start rooting for a Vikings win tonight to put us out of our misery more quickly. I think we should sit Cam and it's hard to believe that will happen while we're still "alive" as far as the playoff hopes go.

It's valid that a Vikings win tonight makes it tougher for us.

The Seahawks hold a tiebreaker so even if we equal their record, they've got us beat for the 6th seed.

Given how I think we're going to finish though, it might not matter.

I'm just hopeful we can somehow stop Saints from having home field advantage in playoffs.  That's all I'm hoping for these days.  Make it harder for Saints to win it all.
