If you just signed up within the last 2 months, and I look at your content and it's all poo emojis and trashing Cam across various threads.  You are banned.  Period.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, and if you're not a fan of a certain player, have at it.  But if your first and foremost priority is to come here and flood the forums with posts trashing one specific player and you didn't join until this recent skid, well then, you can take that opinion elsewhere.  That's not a constructive, genuine take....  it's trolling, and it won't be tolerated.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion, but you were too nice.  If the statistics suggest he is in running  for an MVP until the Tampa Bay game,  if his completion rating is 69% and he has rushed for nearly 500 yards while posting a QB rating near 100, then only a full-blown, inbred idiot would attack Cam.  QBs win games and QBs lose games.  Unless you are under 12, you play the numbers game, not the "Boo hoo" game.

It’s time to be candid with what has been happening

we have lost 5 games in a row to mostly bottom feeders

while Cam is certainly not 100%...he is a long way from playing winning football...especially when the game is on the line

and yes, this losing streak is not all his fault...but he is the starting QB and much of our shortcomings are because he hasn’t been making plays in the clutch

I do not blame Cam at all--we barely beat the Giants on a "Hail Mary FG", we barely beat the Eagles, coming from 17 points back because Norv found a glitch in their coverage scheme.  We could be--should be--sitting at 4-9 right now.  Cam is not the guy who takes a team on his back and sustains a long drive to win games for the most part.  He is explosive and very unpredictable.  We need to know who we are and avoid situations where our strengths aren't useful.

I said it before--this team was not built to come from  behind--Cam needs a run threat to succeed.  Apparently, it was not built to hold leads either.   That is why we are starting to research the draft.

We should have beat the skins...cam missed two short passes to open receivers in the end zone with game on the line

should have beat the lions....cam missed wide open receiver for two pt conversion to win

should have beat the Seahawks....cam missed wide open receiver on 4th down to ice the game

should have beat Tampa...cam threw 4 ints, 2 while driving late in game as well as yet another missed 4th down throw late

and of course yesterday when we have 1st and goal from the 3 and cam missed two more passes

our defense has totally sucked all year, I’ll give you the giants game...but with some winning football from our QB, we COULD be 10-3

These are good points, but I would add that the play calls did not play to Cam's strengths in some cases.  Dropping back on the goal line and throwing from the pocket?  That is Norv going old school on a 21st Century Qb.

The thing about playing with a bad defense, the QB has to make plays the entire game to keep you in it.  So if we isolate on the times he goes human when the pressure is highest, his probability for failure is higher.  RR has never put teams away.  He adds pressure to his QB, his kickers, and his defense.  Cam has never been an accurate passer and many of these play calls required someone who can read the defense quickly and put the ball on the numbers.  I see both sides, Bull, I do.  Not blindly loyal to Cam like the others, but I am very critical of all we unnecessarily put on his shoulders.

All true.

But also misleading without saying that in most of those situations, he drove us into winning position. So you can't discount that.

Additionally, the Washington game was just weird.  I have no idea WHY those passes were the ones called, because we didn't need touchdowns immediately.

Bull makes strong points--That is where the coaching comes in.  They ask him to do things he either should not be doing or things he is not great at doing.  We play so that we are in the game during the last 2 minutes.  We never try to put teams away, it seems.  Ron gets conservative with the lead and it backfired this year.  Riverboat my arse.

cam is credited with 17 career game winning drives which is 2 fewer than aaron rodgers who is going to the hall of fame.  also 5 fewer than russell wilson who is one of the luckiest bastards i've ever seen.  he's been given the ball in crunch time many times in his career and we've won.

he doesn't anomalously choke

Game winning drives and two minute drives are a big difference.

He can get us a drive down into FG territory with 6 minutes left in a game and the have Defense hold.

That's a lot lot different than we have only 4 plays and we need a td pass.

The first instance is much less pressure than the latter. Hell you can have a game winning drive in the 3rd quarter technically.

if you want to get so granular that we're now talking about walk-off game winning touchdowns or situations where we have 4 plays and need a touchdown then those are rare no matter who the quarterback is.  i can think of two games where jake actually did that since his name came up as being particularly clutch: x-clown and the pass to rosario with 0 seconds left against the chargers.  he's also thrown game losing interceptions (falcons 2003, bengals 2006, eagles 2006, falcons 2009 i think, i'm sure there are others).  this to me also seems to discount the team aspect of football.

no, there was time left on the clock.  jacksonville actually lost that game on a blocked field goal in 2003.  there was still time on the clock and the 2 point conversion failed after the TD to proehl.  not to take anything away from jake but using your own criteria it doesn't count because the defense held on.

also lolllll if you want to start the "well if xyz wouldn't have choked... " game after your various pronouncements in this thread.  bruh have you watched this team in the rivera era.

I have watched every game this franchise has ever had.

If you only knew my actual history with this team.

i was being facetious, i'm sure you're a die hard fan like most of the posters on this site.  but if you start qualifying stuff like that then the entire argument goes sideways.  cam has had games that were nearly perfect only to have some other jabroni take a poo on the field and lose it for us.

just off the top of my head, vikings in 2011.  cam has 3 TDs, no interceptions, and converts 4th and long to brandon lafell to set up olindo mare for the game tying field goal.  then he shanked a chip shot from 31 and that was the game.
