As to Heinecke, he got up slow from that last hit (not that it was an especially effective drive anyway).

I see no benefit whatsoever to leaving Heinicke in now. You may as well finish the game with Allen.

The guy who thought Clausen was our next franchise QB is the same guy who settled for Heinicke as Cam's backup.

Valid point.

I actually lobbied for Garrett Gilbert based on what I saw in the preseason. Gilbert was a little better passer, but the edge of having worked for Norv Turner meant a lot.

Mind you, it's not likely Garrett Gilbert would have done that much better today.

Maybe situations like how quickly reactions in this thread changed are why you don't try your hardest to speed up speculation on whether or not your franchise QB might not return based on little actual verifiable information to go on?

It's almost like you can't predict things in the NFL or something huh?
