Potential risers and fallers at the combine?

I'm not sure how much NFL teams will really move guys up and down based on the underwear Olympics.  It's more to verify their athletic profile based on the play.  Sometimes, it will hurt players, but I imagine they had other flags that were pushing them down that we didn't know.

But it's still fun to see who runs the fastest, the WR gauntlet drill, and watching the OL/DL run 40 yards.  I'm sorry, but seeing guys I could beat in a foot race is fun =)

If he is BPA then ok.  I don’t feel it with this young man and don’t think he is worthy of #16. (Just My .02)

If he is picked at 16 I hope no one justifies it by his bench press though

of course you wouldn't select a WR based on his bench press

however, what i was saying or pointing out about this kids strength seems to be somewhat misconstrued from the more obvious reasons

Yes, I too have mixed feelings about the worth of the drills and measuring at the combine.

However one thing that I do think is extremely significant is the interviews. We know that there are a lot of guys who become liabilities due to character concerns or just general application to being a professional footballer. Now I’m not saying it’s easy to identify these traits always, but I do think that they have a real impact on selling a player to a franchise.

I think the medicals and interviews are probably the most important parts of the combine.  That's probably where stock rises and falls the most.

Though, I did love watching CMC run the drills.  He was so fluid out there.  His footwork was so crisp and clean.  I'm sure the NFL already knew that, but it was super enlightening as a fan.
