So, I was already not going to be able...

..to see the Jets game or the 2nd Bucs games "live" because I will be on a cruise...

I will DVR them, of course... But...

Much like the theme of a few posts here today/yesterday...

I will not be watching any Panthers game "live" from this point on until Jake Delhomme is benched in favor of Matt Moore.

There, I said it.

If the Panthers refuse to show their fans that they care about winning games and being competitive, I as a fan will do my best to show that I am not going to sit by and continue to accept the status quo...

I will not be attending a game this season, barring a miraculous turnaround that gets us into the playoffs (which I would go to, even if it were a road game (added incentive?)), until this change is made.

I will not be purchasing anymore memorabilia or any other sort of product bearing a Carolina Panthers logo until this change is made.

While I will not be watching the games "live," I will also be sure to fast forward through the DVR'd recordings, so that I am not subjected to the advertisers' profiting off of what is supposed to be a competitive football team.

I will no longer wear any article of clothing bearing the Panthers logo. This will remain in effect until Jake Delhomme is benched.

I will support and promote all other fans' similar actions, hoping that us as a collective CAN have an impact on the way "our" football team is ran.

Not only can you do your part by following the steps above, but you can also avoid any and all things to do with Charlotte-area businesses. Granted, I know it isn't that feasible for someone living there, but even they can take their money to nearby businesses for certain things.

To be particularly effective, remember your disdain this coming holiday season. Forget the Panthers themed gifts, no matter how bad someone on the receiving end wants them. If being a Panthers fan hasn't taught said party to be patient by now, then they can just wait until next year or get over it.

The last resort will be turning in my Carolina Panthers NC License Plate. This will happen if there is no change at QB by the end of the season. I will also be removing any and all Panthers effects from my truck, and will not replace them until it is proven to me that this team is deserving of my support.

It's an easy fix really. All you have to do is give Matt Moore a chance. I'm not talking a couple of quarters. I am talking about the rest of the season, which at this rate is lost anyways.

So, to all the other fans that share my current state of disgust, I ask you to join me.

While it will be different not to be sitting there on a Sunday afternoon watching the Panthers, I'll be spending my time on something that is worth it.

As Fiz (I think) suggested a few weeks ago, take your wife/girlfriend (or husbands/boyfriends for the ladies out there) out for a nice Sunday lunch/dinner. Go on a vacation. Spend time with those you love and accept the fact that this year is a year without Panthers football. It isn't worth the constant negative feelings. Life is too short, and when things like this get you down, it's time to move on...

Sure, there are things to love about him... but I hate the hell out of him right now...

True, I share your feelings, and also, I did take down all my panther stuff to until the unveiling of our new QB, but still, not gonna discredit Jake for what he's done for us =)

Please tell me that this was said without thinking about convicted murderer Rae Carruth.

Carruth didn't murder someone over and over...

Jake has done the equivalent on the football field as of late...

So, as a player, yes... I hate Jake Delhomme more than I hate Rae Carruth right now...

I'm sure it will pass, but that's the way it is right now...

    • lol, that second part is quite literally one of the dumbest things ever. Having or not having guaranteed contracts has absolutely nothing to do with how much these billionaires have to pay.  Because there is a hard cap and a minimum cap spend requirement, and teams either use their cap or roll it over to use it all the next year, so the owners have to pay the same amount of money in the end no matter what. Having fully guaranteed contracts in the NFL would only hurt salary cap management, and thus would end up screwing over the team and its fan base when teams kiss on signings as they take up cap room that is needed to improve the roster. Look at the Browns with Watson, they gave him the fully guaranteed deal and all it’s doing is sucking up massive cap space now.  If they hadn’t done that, the owner would still be paying the same amount of money each year as that cap space would still be used elsewhere. If you want to argue for fully guaranteed contracts because the players deserve it, that’s an entirely different argument and a fair one to discuss.  But anyone against fully guaranteed deals isn’t doing it to argue for the billionaire owners.

    • Ryabkin could be the steal of the draft, he was a Top 10 pick heading into last season and had a rough year.  Lots of GMs passed on him because of that and his workouts. Pick has really high upside and Svech should be able to translate Rod tearing his arse a new one for making dumb plays since Svech has had several years of it.  🤣😂
