KK at one fore sure. I think he’ll excel there. Maybe Butler at the other?? That’s hole. Poe and Love fit well at NT.

Why does everyone keep trying to put Love at the NT and Butler at the end?  Butler is listed at 330 and Love 310.

Also if you watch the last game of last season you will see us running a 3-4 some.  If I remember correct Short was out that game but I often Love at DE and Butler at both NT and DE.

Also some will be predicated on down and distance.  There were times in that game, where they had Love, Poe, and Butler as the 3 man front. I would think of that as a heavy front you might see more in a running situation.  Other times it was Love, Butler, and Cox, more of a quicker front.

With the guys we have now I would think you will see Short, Love, Cox, and Butler rotate as the DEs and Poe and Butler as the NTs.  On running downs we might go a little "heavier" on the personnel and on passing downs might get the quicker guys in.

Honestly I thought there was a good chance we might actually draft someone that could have filled that 3-4 end role.

I'm curious as hell to see what we've got up our sleeves.

With Irvin, Burns, and Miller, there's a handful that can play Will in a 3-4.  Miller honestly is the most versatile from a LB standpoint with Burns as a hand-in-dirt or WILL.  Even if we're talking hybrid, Burns could handle Will and Miller SAM responsibilities.

My question is who's the third in the gap outside of Short & Poe?  As mentioned, how we use Butler and Love could be wildcards.  But...I think we may still have more of a base 4-3 with Burns at DE dropping back into coverage with Irving blitzing at OLB.  Lot's of possibilities.  Do think we may need one more big guy in a DE/DT mold.

If I remember correctly alof of years we start with a 9 (D-line)-6(LBs)-9(DBs) split with our 53 man roster.  With us switching to a 3-4 I'm thinking more of a 7 (D-line)-8(LBs)-9(DBs) split, possible 6 lineman?

DEs- KK, Love, Cox,

DTs-Poe, Butler

So who am I missing?  Obada? can he get big enough?
