We'd be a 15-1 - 13-3 team if we had a D coordinator who isn't a dumbass.

Don't give me that Kemo wasn't there bullshit. Good defensive coordinators can adjust to injuries. Take a look at New England, shut down the Cards and their two pro bowl receivers receivers, and Tim Hightower. Look at Seattle, they suck ass, but pretty much everyone on that defense is injured. They held the Jets to 3 points.

The problem to this team is obvious, it's THE TURD.

Is there really any doubt turd is the worst defensive coach in the league? Send his ass to the CFL.

Then why don't you fire him coach?

What, has he got pictures of you in assless chaps with a goat or something?

I'm pretty sure thats Hurney's job boy. We've got to stick through the season, firing a coordinator in December is just bad.

But, mark my words, the turd will get flushed this off season,

Ummm, did you just use Seattle as an example? They have only won 3 games all season and been completely blown out several times. That game for them was the exception to the season. You also can't really use New England as an example either at is clearly the scheme designed by Bellicheck who is responsible for their success year after year.

Whilst good Co-ords can adapt to injuries, not many can adjust to losing your two starting DTs. Look what happened to the Vikes after losing Pat. Pretty similar situation to ours but we lost Lewis in the game as well.

Whilst everyone wants to have a defensive genuis generating defenses like the Steelers or Ravens where they can take the ball away every play the co-ords resonsible for those schemes are few and far between, most of which will get head coaching jobs and thus we would need to get rid of Fox to get one of them. So getting someone brilliant is really quite rare. Oh and using your incredible logic, what the hell happened to the Steelers D? Over 30 points? They must be a terrible D.

Some people really need to grow up

Actually, all teams suffer from injuries. For example with Robbins, Burress and Jacobs out, the Giants lost two of three. When two of those guys come back, then they win. Thats the way things go. Adjustments for one injury are possible, but when you lose two or three at a critical position as we have, that you get situations like last night. And we were not playing the Cards. We were playing the defending superbowl champs.

I wouldn't say that. We put our foot up their ass the first half. Just seemed like our boys stayed in the locker room the whole 2nd.

That's our team philosophy though. We play to protect a lead, thus why Smith vanished off the radar and we pretty much only ran the second half, regardless of how many they were stacking the box with. We basically come out of halftime in situations like that saying "just hold on! Only 30 minutes to go!" We play to hold on, not to put the game away.

I think the Giants, by being more confident in all facets of their Offense, are the better team.

Just opinion.

    • It's honestly pretty interesting just seeing this pairing play out. Canales’ offenses (Seattle, Tampa) are run-first, under-center, play-action systems built around defined reads and intermediate/deep timing throws. That structure worked when he had QBs like Baker Mayfield or Russell Wilson in a system that created clear launch points and sightlines. His success has always been tied to a credible run game + play-action gravity. You can see that with the Panthers team building philosophy as well. Coker and TMac both are bigger receivers that won't get the best YAC production but thrive as possession receivers in contested scenarios. They're not the best in space and creating additional yardage in such, and would likely fair better systematically with a stronger armed QB who can create better opportunities on those boundary 1v1 matchups with stronger throws. Bryce, on the other hand, is a spread-native QB. His strengths are rhythm, spacing, quick processing, and off-script creation. Asking him to live in condensed formations with long-developing play-action concepts just hasn't been his forte. And well, his boundary throws are limited in velocity which takes a big chunk of the playbook off. And I mean a QB like Bryce can still work, it's just Dave's offensive philosophy and foundation is very much at odds with Young's physical limits and his own experience. So it's certainly still a learning experience for Dave to figure out how he can mesh his offensive philosophy with Young's strengths. He's very inexperienced with maximizing Bryce's strengths with his system. Would love to see us bring in an OC with spread experience and adaptability to implement a cohesive system with Dave to allow Bryce to thrive, as it's obvious we're sticking with him for a bit longer.
    • Only thing I really agreed with is questioning why we didn’t take any timeouts on their last drive.  I know hindsight is 20/20, but I think it would’ve saved clock bc they were desperate to score as soon as the opportunity presented itself, but I also think it could’ve helped the defense regroup and maybe give us a better chance to stop them.
