Is this Jakes last chance?

Since Fox is saying "Jake gives us our best chance to win" after playing so stinking bad so far.......Why would he think differently next week or for the rest of the season? Delhomme is our starter all year and we might as well get used to it. Fox isn't going to change.

fox didn't bench jake against philly so that they could win the game, he did it to save jake.

fox won't bench jake again, though. if he does it will only be for that one game.

fox isn't interested in winning as much as he is trying to prove that he is right.

fox thinks that jake is the right choice and the best that this team can do so he is going to do everything he can to show that he is right. even if it doesn't work, he is going to stick with his plan and his agenda. changing anything means that you are weak and were wrong.

I have no idea why if Jake would mess up and still be looked as our starter, why Richardson wouldn't intervene
nah, richardson won't do anything until the end of the season. he lets the GM and coaches take care of things and lets them dig their own grave if they aren't doing well.

no matter how badly fox does this year or how poor his decisions are, jerry isn't going to do anything but watch and then start from scratch after the season is over...getting rid of fox and hurney both.

the new coach/gm can figure out what to do with jake.

Um...no.

Lets start moore against the new orlean saints which will most likely be a shoot out anyways. Just seems like a bad decision so fox will probably make it.

Sad thing is fox really missed his best oppurtunity to give moore a shot with these crappy teams these past few weeks.

I really think the saints are a bad opponent for any QB to go up against, but the falcons and the Dolphins are much more manageable, which leaves me to believe Jake will start next week as well as long as he doesn't cost us the game.

    • Ravens mixing it up with a random Mark Andrew tush push last year isn't a similar situation.  Lamar has run QB sneaks his entire career.  And often instead of a traditional sneak will even employ a 4th and 1 direct snap to Lamar simply because of how athletic he is (which even Cam did a lot of) and let him pick his own holes.
    • height being an issue doesn't just mean batted balls.  You could argue Bryce minimizes batted balls by adopting other poor habits such as his jump passing and leaving the pocket.   As I said, there are plays you can point to where he clearly was blind to parts of the field/players....which kills plays and opportunity. Which actually means some of the shorter/hot throws when things break down are where his vision gets blocked (and he had below average production all around the line of scrimmage).   has he figured it out? I mean, he improved off a trainwreck start.  But Bryce Young since arriving in the league (even while figuring it out)......doesn't generate much offensive production vs his peers.  I just think his ceiling is low.   And that's not in the grand scheme what you want in the NFL.  I think he can develop into a serviceable QB, that will largely always been a middle of the pack or low end starter.
    • People make a lot of noise about his footwork and I think it is overblown. Whether he takes 3 steps backwards or 5 small steps doesn't matter as long as he ends up at the right depth and is in sync with  the receiver regarding timing. If he does that consistently who cares as long as he has a firm stable base as he delivers the ball. Which he does need to work on. However even that is somewhat overblown given that often QBs have to throw off balance or from different arm angles to fit the ball around defenders. He is considered very accurate so apparently it isn't hurting him that much.
