I agree but if it gives other teams advantage and puts you at a disadvantage I’d rather get on board.

Just an FYI this isn't a city council decision. The County Commission handles property taxes and the re-evaluations. Everyone that lives in Meck got their property re-evaluated this year and most people saw their property taxes rise. BOA's "value" rose from ~$100 mil to ~$500 mil. The county agreed to cut it by $100 million. Tepper/Panthers want it to be lowered to $87 million even lower than it was the last time re-evaluations were done, despite the fact property values around the stadium have increased.

He has given the fans everything they have wanted to this point

When these reevals are done the property values normally go up, but the tax rates end up being adjusted to a lower rate that offsets the increased value.

 

With that said,  property owners still end up paying more, but not as much as it looks in this article.

What does this have to do with holding fans hostage. This affects me none.
