Why do we keep Matt Moore?

I'm confused. Jake is struggling and deserves to be benched but Fox keeps saying that Jake, "gives us the best chance to win..." That's on the assumption that there is CRAP behind Jake. I mean, your the best, but the best of the worst, maybe? mmm

I mean, Jake struggled against Buffalo and believe me - come Monday morning - the team let Matt & AJ take a few snaps in practice and after wards, the coaching staff said to itself, "well... Jake still gives us the BEST chance to win"

So, I ask, why did we keep Matt? Shouldn't a backup QB be somebody who can step up when called on? This isn't his first year, he's had time to learn the system --- show promise in practice!

If he can't do these things, why is he here? I don't understand keeping QBs that you have no faith in? This makes no sense.

We have one QB and two guys, the team is fearful to start. Please explain...

actually, Fox didn't let Matt and AJ take any snaps. He annouced Jake was the guy on Tuesday and I don't think they actually take snaps until Wed. Same stuff, if Jake is the only guy who takes reps w/ the starters....he will always look the best.

LOL ... so true, but that way Fox is correct. Jake does look the best.

Quality wise, yes. That doesn't mean the guys we have riding the bench are any better.

so you think Matt and AJ would be both be leading the NFL in turnovers at 15 if they had been given the keys week 1? Odds are against us having 3 guys that could duplicate that...

it ain't about being better...it is about having a QB who won't destroy the team's chances on his own.

It's like Marty Schottenheimer said yesterday on the radio, he was brought in as a 3rd stringer, cause he is a 3rd stringer. He doesn't have starting talent, just backup talent.

you do realize all these talking heads don't watch all the games right. I was listening to John Madden talk today and he said he thought Houston was legit.....how does he know? Well it is week 8 and he watched part of one of there games last week.....that is all he has seen and he admitted it. But he is willing to talk about them...there stengths and weaknesses w/o actually knowing anything about them.

Marty probably doesn't even know Moore has started games before...there would have been no reason for him to even watch Moore in 07.

Marty gets paid to watch tape on games we don't see, and he gets paid for his job stupid. He gives his opinion as a coach. Let me guess, you want Moore to run kickoffs and punt returns back? If so, thats the only player you have talked about thats logical.

    • That’s not a bad idea at all. I was really liking the whole cali-style carne asada. We might do that next week instead of enchiladas for the rams. Was planning on: Saints-Gumbo Tampa-Cuban Sandwiches Seattle- Salmon Stew Tampa- Seafood Boil
    • I agree, honestly you can not trade a player that has Balls talent. Just sitting in street clothes FOR years, it doesn't matter if you are averaging 50points on 88% with 18 rebs, 15 asst, 4 stls if you never can play. These are the worst type of players, teasers. Its HIS JOB to get his body in NBA shape and he has proven that he can not. Thus you break the rule about trading top shelf talent. Hell NBA need to have NFL contracts where the full sum isn't guaranteed, you bet your ass if his money was tied to his playing on the court he'd somehow figure out how to stay healthy.   Plus Im a old head, I member when Seth Curry in his 17(Jesus..) year career had ankle problems and guess what, he solved the issues and got all the money, championships, and fame. Ball doesn't have the same drive to figure out his body, he'd rather drive his car on kids feet while rushing home to drive his go-cart on the roof of his condo after missing his 42nd game of the season.....
