NFL: Player wish list for the next CBA

I do not understand the players not wanting an 18 game schedule. If you include 4 pre-season games they already play "18" games worth of snaps. Take away two meaning-less pre-season games and max profit this league. If you include post-season, Many teams already play way more than 18 games a season too(ugh the pats have played entire seasonS more than everyone) Very simple add an extra bye week for all teams. First bye week period for all teams form 4-7 weeks and the second is form 10-13 weeks, that would also solve many other issues like- Teams mad at having early/late bye week, Thursday night games, London/Canada/Mexico/Mars travel is much easier now.

Now you add an extra 3 full weeks of content to a league that could easily make billions off of. NFL by far has the shortest content period of all the big sports, this would feed the starving NFL fans an giant feast. Everyone wins and gets more money, its beyond dumb not to do.

It lowers their pay per game rate.

No way you increase games and not give a boost in pay. 15% increase would be more than fair. Even for the guys making 500,000(highest percent of players) thats an extra 75,000 for basically the same total snaps. Extra bye week would help with R&R too. You could even increase the total rosters to 55 players also adding to the players side.

    • As much as I would love to sit here and bash on Young.  I can't.   He is absolutely a part of this team winning.  He is the cool hand leading the offense along with the hammer, Rico.  He's making plays on 3rd and 4th downs, that are absolutely helping thus team win.  Is Bryce playing as well as we'd like? Nope. Although he had only 1 week off from a high ankle sprain.   No question he was 100% in the Greenbay game.  I'm not even sure where the team would find a clear upgrade over Byrce.  He is a leader.  In the 4th quarter, he has ice in his veins.  He is a part of why our team is enjoyable to watch again.  Without him, we wouldn't be winning.    Anyways.  Y'all enjoy yet another thread designed to tear down the man.
    • Great article on all the Lil Canes attending their debutantes ball. Walt with a great breakdown of all the rookies, as always, and I'm a huge fan of his team coverage, he is truly a treasure, but as a fan of mixed metaphors and superfluous language which some might ignorantly refer to as a "run-on sentence" I never really understood what that mean or where to put the comma after a quote in the middle of a sentence, but holy poo Walt, this is a gem, "While there's a long road left in front of them left to determine whether or not they'll have that same success on the blue line again, the beginning stretch of the journey has been thrown a wrench, and the story on defense has been the emergence of up-and-comers forced into becoming lineup regulars." , bravo, take a bow, sir!
    • How do I activate said Krispy Kreme deal? I'm stoned man you can't be playing with me about this...
